Nothing kills my extreme cravings like that but a cup of coffee! Isn't that wierd!! As soon as I take a sip of it, my craving for whatever diminishes. I guess because it's sweet and hot!

The last couple of days it has rained here in Dallas, and whenever it's dark and miserable, I want nothing more than some mashed potatoes and a warm chocolate chip cookie. Neither of which need to make an appearance on my calorie counter. :P

Whenever I have strong cravings, I promise myself that I will give in if I still have them a couple of days later. And even then, I try to be good about it. Craving mac & cheese? Lean Cuisine has a meal. Craving ice cream? Try some low calorie bar or one of those 120 calorie frozen desserts. Craving pizza? Smart Ones has mini pizzas and Lean Cuisine has some pretty nice ones. That way I get to give in without feeling super bad about it. Even if I end up going over my calories, it's not THAT far over.

Thank you all for the support. I did make it and my weigh in today was great! I don't get ToM with my BC, but who knows maybe hormones were being wacky too! Today is a better day. I was just so frustrated and craving stuff yesterday. I am going to lunch with a friend and already checked the menu and planned. I made a grocery list to get some things in the house besides lettuce LOL. Thank you again for the support.

It can be hard sometimes but you did an amazing job dealing with the pressure! I have those days too and when I give in I feel terrible afterwards. When I overcome those cravings, best feeling ever! Stay focused, you're so much stronger than you think!

Not to delve too deep here, but ToM? I know that the few days leading to my cycle, my mouth becomes a hoover. Not necessarily craving anything in particular, but any food in front of me gets eaten. I try to ensure I have lots of fruits and veggies on standby for those days.

A delicious, low cal sweet treat: Berries with 1 square of dark chocolate. A staple for me!

Glad you got over the cravings hump!!

Thank you! I did make it and the cravings finally subsided after I had a half cup of blackberries! I know there will be more days. Hopefully the scale shows something I like yo keep pushing me forward :)

Hey, you worked out today and sounds like you have made good food choices! We have certainly all been there with the cravings. When I go through phases where I am wanting junk, I do not keep any in the house. Actually, I just threw out 4 Hershey's Bars leftover from making s'mores because I didn't want to be able to impulsively eat them. I try to make an effort to keep really tempting foods out of the house; that way they can't taunt me. If I want a treat, I generally go to a store and buy a single serving. That way I can't be tempted to overdo it.

I have not felt this many cravings in a day since I started! I did not want to workout. (I did) I wanted to eat a whole pizza or chinese food or a fat burger for dinner (I ate chicken and broccoli) As I sit here it is taking everything to not just go grab the icecream. I am within my calories for the day, but I just am so hungry for junk!
