it is 12 plus 27 mins workout and sometimes. And Level 1 does not mean an easy walk in the park if you are not used to it. I barely keep up with the reps and most of the time I have to take breaks. And I sweat ALOT.

I am not sure maybe I lost too much minerals by sweating?

Not from a 12 minute workout. Check youtube for "calf stretch" and do it for 30 seconds every couple of hours, and prior to exercise too.

Cramping can happen from eating too much sodium or not enough veggies too.

By the way, chocolate milk after a level 1 workout is not a "recovery drink", it's a treat. ;-)

Lack of potassium can cause muscle cramps. Try eating a banana before your workout and see if that helps.

the video starts with a warm up already. today in the morning i workout to walk at home video only 1 mile (12 mins) and there was some strain too. I am not sure maybe I lost too much minerals by sweating?

Are you doing a good warm up before you start? Does this happen with any cardio activity or just this video in particular?

I am working with 30 Day Shred and I am on Day 2 of Level 1. For thos who don't know it is a circuit training video and it gives easier options so I am sure I am not over straining myself. But I have this cramping feeling on my calves. They feel so hard I can barely get through the cardio part and I was wondering if I am doing things wrong or this is normal. I drink enough water during the day and after the work out I drink a recovery drink in the form of a semi skimmed chocolate milk :)
