My doctor wanted to put me on Statin drugs to lower my cholesterol. I checked out the book, The Great Cholesterol Myth" from the library and followed the advice of the authors - Dr. Sinatra a cardiologist and Dr. Johnny Bowden, a nutritionist which includes eating lots of eggs and meat. Just got my new bloodwork results today and my cholesterol is lower - no to Statin drugs. Yeah!

I just had my blood work done and was told my cholesterol is normal for non-diabetics, but for a diabetic they would like to see it lower. I am considering cutting out eggs and maybe going vegan for a while.

Today I got my blood work results. I normally do not think twice about this annual ritual. However, this time I was told I was pre-diabetic. Really!! I had cut out carbs and was eating fresh fruits, veggies and yogurt. Apparently, my blood sugar is to high. I never expected that...so with advice from my sister in law...here I am trying to make a change. Wish me luck!! My goal is 25 lbs by June.
