I have been journaling in a Journal Book for years. Initially, I started with instructions just to write for ten minutes without worrying about spelling, grammar or punctuation. I was just to write down whatever thoughts and feelings I was having at the time and to continue writing for the duration of the 10 minutes even if I had to babble on about the same thing over and over. This finally prepared me to write in my journal on a daily basis in a consistent manner regarding the people, events, and triggers in my life and my reactions and feelings to them. I finally learned effectively to accept myself and not allow others to control or manipulate the way I felt. I am at peace with myself finally and it is a blessing!
