After a few weeks of vacation without access to the Internet, I am back and tracking! I actually did pretty well over the vacation. I didn't gain weight. I didn't eat until I was sick once. And I was able to do those things without being able to track on the computer.

Today, I ended at 1546 calories (my limit was lowered after the system recalculated a few things so it's 1550 tops now). More importantly, though, the food that I ate was healthy with the only sugar coming from dried cranberries. I have a major sweet tooth, so today was a big success. I hope everyone else is doing well!

Dear Amy, you're doing really well. Don't focus on the bad day, focus on the fact that out of seven days, you were on track for six! Even God had the seventh day off! It's unrealistic to expect to toe the line all the time, but you're doing the right thing, you picked yourself up and got straight back on track. Keep it up.

I ended at 1763 calories today, so I'm back on track. I also exercised on the elliptical which is always enjoyable. I'm excited to see if the scale shows any results on Monday (my weigh-in day). Hopefully, tomorrow will be a nice and relaxing Sunday!

Thank you Victory2XS!

Today was not a good day. Everything fell apart in a not-so-perfect storm. I exceeded my calorie goal by quite a bit. But, I will start a new streak tomorrow that I'm not going to give up on. I have to admit that putting all of that food in my body has made it feel horrible. Plus, I'm going to look at the positives. I'm still doing much better with eating than I have in quite some time!

Today I ended at 1456. I had to attend a funeral, so I didn't exercise. But my streak is now 5 days during a really challenging time that normally would have had me binging like crazy!

Today I ended at 1760. I had to eat out again (it's a weird week with a funeral and time is limited) and still managed to stay within my range by choosing better foods. Today was my fourth day of meeting my calorie goal (I know it may sound small, but it's a lot for me)! Today was a jogging day, so I jogged for 45 minutes and did 15 minutes of strength training.

You know, Ben 119, if you have eating under control, you may try some small exercise. You'd get a small treat everyday (now you know my REAL exercise motivation)! emoticon

Thank you so much for all the support! I really don't get support at home, so it truly means a lot to me.

Good luck and keep up the good work Amy. That is a great idea to hold yourself accountable. Eating is also my downfall so it is good to see I am not alone.

Well done and keep going, I hate exercise so only have 1200 to 1400 cals a day which I'm keeping to but I wish I loved exercise as I think I need the toning as well............... at nearly 50 I need all the help I can get !

Good luck x

Thanks AMSparker! I do have a problem with binge eating and am trying to kick the issue. So, I wanted to set a realistic calorie goal that would allow me to start a streak of meeting my calorie goal without any binging. 1790 is working pretty well for me so far.

Today, I had 1785 calories. I met my goal again and ate out for lunch and dinner (I have family in town). I am so excited that I was able to keep my head and enjoy good food without going crazy! I also completed 45 minutes on the elliptical this morning.

Thank you for your support; it really helps!

Good luck, that is a nice amount of calories to help with your exercise....I'm always surprised when I see people who work out regularly trying to stick with 1100-1200 cals/day....way too little!!

Thanks for the encouragement, Victory2XS!

Today I met my goal at 1774 calories. It was a bit more challenging as I jogged this morning which made me a bit hungrier, but it was worth it for the all day energy boost! Now I've just got to keep moving.

Keep up the good work. Being accountable and putting your calorie intake out there for all to see will certainly be a great motivator!

My name is Amy, and I started this journal to post my daily calorie consumption for all of SparkPeople to see. For the past year, I've exercised religiously. In the meantime, though, my eating hasn't really improved. So, I've decided to "tell" everyone how many calories I consume each day to keep myself in line. If anyone else would like to join in, I'd love some company!

Current Calorie Goal = No More Than 1790 Calories

Calories Consumed 7/9/12 = 1779
