I am doing the warrior dash in ontario for the second time :D

I have hired a trainer to put together a program for me....I was lucky that a friend is now a personal trainer and could do this for me for a good price.....

I would work on upper body (push ups, pull ups, tricep dips) and core (lots of planks) for this.....also do some balancing exercises.....I'm sure that's what I'll end up with :D

This summer, I'm going to be running the Philadelphia Down & Dirty mud run. It's a 5K with military-style obstacles throughout, such as climbing over walls and pulling yourself up slippery inclines. Besides leg strength for the 5K, I know it's going to require a lot of arm and core exertion. Does anybody have ideas for workouts I can do that will enhance my climbing/pulling ability ahead of this race?
