I'm glad to hear things are looking up. And go ahead, PIG out on those cucumbers. LOL

Update: Finally heard (via text, of course!) from the texter. Yes, it's a close family member. Anyhow, he did begin texting again, apologized for most of what was said the day before and told me what parts of his original texts were truthful. He admitted he had been drinking, which I'm surprised I missed. Usually, I can tell when he is drunk. But, for the first time ever I was happy he was drunk because of how disturbing those were.
AND, Praise God above, he said he is finally ready to get help where he is. (He's across the country) He has an appointment already set up. So, I'm praying he will follow through and get the help he needs, from the counselor and from God.
Thank you all for the encouragement! And, for the record - my binge was two cucumbers. Crunch, but good for me. And, that night, a looooong walk with the pup.

Texting sucks. I don't even like doing it. And when folks abuse it, the only thing one can do is ignore it until you get face to face with them or talk on the phone with them. Going to the Bible is a good way to clear one's mind in any stressful situation. Keep the faith.

Thank you! No text since yesterday morning, so I don't have an update on the situation. Unfortunately, not much I can do about it. BUT, I did not binge eat - Someone had brought fresh cucumbers to the office, so I ate two of those as a crunchy snack. Took a long walk (2.75 miles) with the pup last night. And spent the day listening to the audio Bible, which is the best medicine ever ...

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.

Remember using food to cover up your feelings won't leave you feeling any better in the long run. As the PP suggesting find something healthy to use as an outlet for the stress. Take a long walk, pray, listen to music. Don't use food to cope, it will only leave you feeling empty.

It can be really hard to properly convey emotional things through text. Just stay calm and try to keep your mind occupied on other things until you get a chance to talk to the person. You could try reading, exercising, listening to music, going for a walk, or anything else that will turn your focus to something else. I know that's easier said than done, but there's really not much you can do to ease your mind about it until you can talk about it. It really bugs me when people say really big important things in a text or an email. I'm sorry you have to worry about this all day.

Have had a disturbing text conversation with someone I love. Can't speak to them by phone right now. I don't know if the conversation has left me feeling like I want to binge eat or avoid food altogether. Determined not to let my emotions control my eating...Trusting in God to pull me up! emoticon But it's going to be a loooong day!
