I maybe get to the movie once or twice a year, so I go ahead and indulge but I drink water instead of soda and only the small popcorn to share. You could try sneaking in some healthier snacks like fresh fruit and veggies in your purse and then getting bottled water if you go frequently to the movies. If you need something to munch like salty you might try making your own trail mix.

I don't go to the movies often. Therefore, I allow myself some popcorn and an occasional soda. But if you're going often, I suggest maybe milk and fruit. If they don't sell fruit, maybe you can bring some in your purse. Maybe celery sticks? baby carrots?
If you have to get a popcorn, get a smaller size and share it with somebody. Don't add extra butter to it. I was in shock when I watched a guy buy a large tub of popcorn and then add extra butter to it. Some of the theaters I go to have small restaurants and I will usually find a salad I can order to eat in the movie.
I also do the naughty thing...I love my chocolate so I portion out an amount that is within my calorie budget and just bring it with me into the theater in my purse. Nobody is going to stop me and inspect my purse. I'm also gum chewing addict so I make sure I have a couple sticks of gum I can just chew while watching a movie.
Is it wrong to fight time, to turn it back or push it forward? Time was never mine.

At least where I live, there really isn't anything remotely healthy at the movie theater except water. I agree with others who say eat before you go and don't get any snacks. But if it is just too much a part of your ritual, I would say get a small popcorn and try not to eat too much of it, and get water instead of soda.
I try to eat before I goto the movies. I dont go very often but when I do Its usually around dinner time so I eat dinner then see a movie, so im not hungry for popcorn and sodas, the high prices help me to say no too.

I honestly usually just say no most of the time. I don't agree with sneaking in healthier options and I know I can survive without food for a couple hours.
