It's wonderful that it had a positive outcome, rather than her just getting bitter and start some sort of legal proceeding, blaming the trooper for discrimination

Great story, just looked it up to find out more info. Very inspirational. You really can do anything if you put your mind to it.

I just read the most motivational weight loss stories on our local news page. A woman has lost nearly 200 lbs in a year and a half.....and it started with a traffic ticket. The article stated that extremely obese people are 60% less likely to buckle up. A South Carolina woman was driving home from school last March, saw the flashing lights in her rear view mirror and just KNEW what the ticket was for. At over 400 lbs, she simply could not get the seat belt on. She said that ticket saved her life, the trooper was kind and understanding but wrote her up for it anyway.....and a year and a half later, she asked the local news station to help her find the trooper so she could thank him. She still has some weight to go to reach her goal, but has lost nearly 200 lbs. What an inspiration! Just wanted to share.
