Dude, I have the exact same problem. Sweets are my nemesis as well. Use a small dish for each serving so you don't have to cut it out completely. It might be a little difficult at first. Have you ever tried yoga? The whole basis of it is accepting and loving yourself and living a healthy lifestyle. Since I've gotten serious about it, eating healthy whole foods and accepting who I am has become a lot easier. My practice has taught me that everything boils down to your mindset: think about the direction you're going and love the journey to the ultimate destination. As far as motivation goes, the only way I can truly get myself off the couch is by telling myself how much better I'll feel after my workout or I go buy stuff like healthy food or more workout clothes since you can never have too much of those things.
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. I'm not looking to lose a substantial amount of weight, I'm more so looking to create a healthier lifestyle and to eat healthier and also eat the correct portions. Another big thing is exercise. I ALWAYS hit the snooze button. I never want to get up early to exercise. I also cave in to sweets like ice cream and cookies and eat WAY more than I need! I always say, well I'll start tomorrow, I'll eat healthier tomorrow. I need to change my mindset! I want to become confident and learn to love myself and I know that having a healthier lifestyle will do that. How can I stay motivated to keep a healthy lifestyle, eat right, not overeat, and exercise?
