The nice ONE of warmer weather was motivating - unfortunately tomorrow we are supposed to have rain and 20-30 degrees lower temperatures - like earlier this week was.

March brings in so many good changes.

That is a great idea. I was motivated by the fact that I get younger in March every year - from MY birthday in September until mid-March, I am 2 years older than my baby sister, and 6 years older than my best friend - come March, they have THEIR birthdays and I am suddenly only ONE year older than my sister and FIVE years older than my friend. March is a GREAT motivation.

Thank you so much. I had such a wonderful day yesterday, I think I'll take advantage of the entire month of March and have a birthday every day this month.

Happy birthday. Birthdays are a great motivator - always feels like starting a FRESH NEW YEAR so I have to do something special to move forward toward greater health.

My motivation is turning 59 on today. I feel like I did when I was 40. I'm going to take me about a 45 min. walk. drink a cup of tea, play ball with my dog and enjoy my day.

You are the most special person on this earth. Love yourself, take care of your body, nurture your mind, and let your spirit flow.

Staying positive is a good place to start - You can do it and YOU are worth the effort to make it happen.

Success has a snowball effect. When you see see your clothes fitting better, even if there is no loss on the scale, you know you are doing something right, and you continue your efforts. Or someone compliments you at the gym that you are doing really well. These NSVs add up to success and a loss on the scale. It motivates you to make better decisions with eating habits and tracking. Baby steps to better health. emoticon

Getting motivated is sometimes a challenge BUT if you keep on doing what needs to be done, eventually you will reach your goals. Sometimes even when we don't feel like doing the exercise or eating the RIGHT things, when we do them often enough, they start to become habits that bring with them results and THEN the motivation comes. I am motivated by successes along my journey.

I enjoyed reading this thread. After 3 days not going to fitness ctr, I finally got my rear in gear and went to ctr this afternoon. Knowing I feel a bit better after going you'd think would be ennough motivation. but it doesn't seem to be.
Thank you all,

Have a wonderful day and keep your wonderful attitude up. You will be seeing success as you do a LITTLE ZUMBA - that is something I only did once and found parts of my body ached that I didn't even KNOW I had - it is probably the BEST workout for the entire body I have ever seen.

I love it when someone has a great celebration like yours - I just think at times I want to eliminate the word ONLY from our vocabulary - it is like saying "but it really doesn't count for much" and it DOES count and your SUCCESS is real. There is always someone who is BETTER but there is usually also someone who didn't do as well either.

I am glad you appreciated my comments - YOU are really doing well.

It's always helped me to look myself in the mirror and tell myself "I love you, you are beautiful" Do that several times a day and you will start to feel better. You can do it. Proud of you for doing 20 min. Work up to it. It'll come! God's blessings! emoticon

Was the 20 minutes BETTER than ZERO - celebrate that you did 20 and work toward your 30. YOU CAN DO IT and keep up the GREAT work. You are succeeding - maybe more slowly than you would like but still really well.

Yes, do what WORKS for YOU. If you have lost a significant amount of weight and are getting the eating under control, something must be working for you. Focus on what you CAN and WILL do and let the rest wait until you are ready to do it. Tracking calories is NOT essential IF you are eating healthy, eating a reasonable amount, and are successfully improving your weight, your life, your health, etc. Do what works for you. IF on the other hand, you are unhappy with what you are doing, think of ways to make it EASIER for you to make better choices. Love yourself enough to do what you CHOOSE and to do it well.

"HAVE YOU DONE YOUR STUFF"? Get on top of it and stay on top. Don't sweat the counting, just drink plenty of water and do some exercises. I didn't know how beautiful things were until I began to take control of my self.

I have very little motivation! I can't seem to get back in my groove! I have lost quite a bit of weight and now just can't seem to get back into it! I just don't know why!! When someone asks me to do something I have no problem but when it comes to doing something for me I am like, "Yea I will do it later!" and "later" never comes!! I am doing Weight Watchers so the food is getting to a controllable level, I guess. I am still having issues not counting calories but I am kinda doing it. I am an all or nothing kinda person so I am trying to track on both sites to see what happens with the calories vs the no calories take on it. I just need something or someone to ask me on a daily basis if I have done my stuff! I am trying to make myself ask me and that just don't work! Please help!! Thanks!!!
