Rings, dress, venue, celebrant, florist, hairdresser and cake sorted. Now I have to send the invitations which have arrived today. All good motivation for the 'Big Day".

i was fat for prom when i said i wouldnt be. i was fat for graduation when i said i wouldnt be. now in collage and still the same weight. my wedding isnt for almost two years so i have plenty of time to loose the weight. finding the time and motivation is the issue!! i thought maybe looking at dresses and decor would do the trick. but looking at the skinny beautiful girls in dresses kinda depressed me. :(

You want to look fantastic for your wedding day, remember these photos will be a lifelong reference, your grandchildren will see them and boast about how beautiful grandma looked on her wedding day.

Are there any group classes you can take through the local city rec department?? That would be a good way to meet people who are trying to stay in shape. If you can find it in yourself to motivate yourself more as well, that goes a long ways and will help you to lose weight & keep it off.
Look up walking/jogging groups in the area. There should be some. Also, if you can join a gym. You'll make friends easily there.
And of course, use the internet. SparkPeople is also on Facebook and Twitter. Ask there if anyone in your area wants to team up and work out together.
Virtual friends are good , too.
I'm getting married Feb 14, 2012... (although we might change it early, we are not sure yet) which gives me at most 8 months to get from 154 lbs to 130 lbs. Spark says I can do it. Hopefully I will :)

Hi I'm Megan and live in Sandy Springs GA. I am getting married in October and really really want to lose weight. I am so un-motivated and dont really have any friends to push me. My wonderful fiancé wants to push me but is a little too nice :) I moved to the area about 6 months ago and dont really have any friends. Anyone want to help or have suggestions on how to make some friends who are willing to go walk/workout with me in the area?
