I have been eating Yoplait Greek Yogurt -- it was okay but I found something I love much better and almost half of the calories: Dannon Fit and Light Greek Yogurt - Vanilla flavor! Excellent -- only 80 calories per serving, 12 protein and 50 sodium! Wow, felt like I won the jackpot! Really good stuff so creamy and thick!

Sonic Vanilla Dish once per week. It's about 250 calories, has nutrients in it and I don't have to give up my ice cream. If you count it as your snack you are not cheating.

I now splurge on my favorite fruits and vegetables - raspberries come to mind first. I used to pass them for cheaper fruits that I didn't like as much, or even canned! But if I want them just to eat I buy a small half pint just for myself.

THROOPER62 - that sounds delicious.... I have a really good white chicken chili I make for my family that has lots of poblanos, jalapenos, garlic, onion, great northern beans.... Always looking for new recipes that are figure friendly! I love turkey and am always looking for new ways to serve it.

I am getting some great ideas from all of you! Thanks....

One new thing I just started to do last week was adding chopped green chiles (like Old El Paso) into a half of a hard-boiled egg white! Yum and makes it much more tasty. Egg whites are so good nutritionally. I normally eat them for breakfast and for a snack. I have been putting red cayenne pepper and onion powder or any other kind of seasoning to spice it up but I really like the green chiles. They are super low in calories and the sodium isn't bad for 2 tbsp -- it is 120 mg. I try to keep my sodium to below 1500 if I can so I splurge a little here.

Thanks so much, AZULVIOLETA, for your DELICIOUS way of preparing sweet potatoes! I love all kinds of roasted veggies, and your idea of sprinkling some smoked paprika over the thin rounds is something I'm definitely going to try!

Currently, I'm digging butternut squash, roasted with seasonings and garlic. Honey mangoes may be my absolute favorite, but they aren't in season. I love food, and the key to my success has been tasty, healthy food, so my favorite can vary with the moment and what is in season.

Sweet potatoes. They are not part of my food culture, but I got the idea by looking at the tracker of one of my SparkFriends.

Usually I just wash them, rub with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and bake them at 350 for about 90 minutes. Sometimes I slice them into thin rounds, add some smoked paprika and roast for 30 minutes. Mmmm.

What has amazed me a great deal in my losing and maintaining a 75+ weight loss over the past four years is that I've come to appreciate - if not actually crave - great produce. From peppers to cucumbers to artichokes to the butternut squash now in season, I look forward to every bite!

eggs, chicken and cottage cheese. The eggs and chicken i loved before my journey. I always hated cottage cheese, however, since my surgery I have started to love cottage cheese and can't get enough of it. I can't really understand that at all.

one of my new favorites is to cook some type of meat in the Crock Pot; remove the meat (DH will eat that) and make barley mushroom soup with the stock. SOOOOO GOOD!

I love roasted veggies...it brings out a totally different flavor (a little sweet and savory), but I'm also fond of creating all kinds of omelets with different veggies and a sprinkling of cheese on top. Grill the veggies then fold them into an omelet... Yum

For me, I really have been enjoying all kinds of roasted vegetables. I put many and all types of veggies together at night and it seems like such a treat and so filling. Like right now, I am roasting sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, carrots, and cauliflower with just a 1/2 tablespoon of oil. I sprinkle a little rosemary, onion and garlic powder and bake for 25 minutes and it is so delicious. I add a very small pinch of salt after baking and that brings all the flavors together. So, whatever veggies I have in the fridge goes on the baking sheet and into the oven.
So, what is your favorite food/meal that you really enjoy eating on this program?
