More and more I am looking at recipes and food with fresh eyes.
I tried low carb and other "diets" before, but very often just replaced one bad food for another, especially toward the end, I think. I started with good intentions, and then just fell into the trap of using the pre-packaged stuff (maybe in the case of low carb, it was newly introduced, and I thought it would be good to try).
That just made it much easier to return to bad habits and products. I find now that so many "diet" plans do that - encourage consumption of their products to replace those you need to stop eating. If you get tired of buying them; it is very easy to return to poor choices, because you've learned nothing in the process.
