My twins turn 6 months old next week and can go to the Kiddie Korner at my gym! I'm pretty excited! My husband works from home, so I've been sticking him with the babies in the morning after I get the big kids off to school. The only thing that REALLY gets me out the door, though, is a workout buddy who I ONLY get to see when we work out together and I only work out with her 3 days a week. Sometimes I can make myself go another 3 days a week, sometimes not...

I have 3 other children as well... 21, 19 and 15 .. I did the 2 or 3 jobs and managed a house and work and family.. and wow that seemed much easier than to have a little one all on her own. I live in Canada so I have had a year off for maternity leave this time.. not used to that as with the others I basically went back to work right away. So I made a point of this time that she naps and plays that I take some time for myself and it started out as that 10 min get into it but now I am up over an hr now ... I am mixing it up with varied bootcamps and video's... Even managed to do some HIIT . I was out of breath after but wow did it feel great :) I am excited about going back to work but sad about leaving my lil angel :) emoticon

Schedule is your number one priority! If you know exactly when your child is going to bed, work out an hour after that time. Or if you are a morning person, an hour before they wake up. It is very exhausting, believe me! But if you want it bad enough, you will do it! :)

When my son was under a year old, I worked 2 jobs (had 3 when he was born but quit one when he was about 6m old). Went back to work after 4 weeks (I'm a piano teacher and one of those weeks was March break, a holiday anyways) I slept 1-5 hours a night, which wasn't a big deal because I sleep 5 hours a night regularly anyways, and worked out before my son woke up and before my husband had to leave for work. So most days I got up around 4:30 but I remember a few mornings where I got up at 3:45 after going to bed at 1 am. Fortunately that only happened a few times.

Because I only had 2 jobs, I worked out 7 days a week and ran my first post partum marathon when my son was 7 months old.

Hi I have an 11 month old and until now, I haven't fit exercise in at all! So now I'm trying to make it a priority by fitting it in during his first nap of the day, Once i return to work in April I will have to find new ways of fitting it in... maybe before I go to bed!

I have an 11 month old, I've been back to work since he was 5 weeks old, and just recently was able to fit in a work out routine. I have 2 older children, also, ages 4 and 6, the oldest is in kindergarten, and my husband just started working a 2nd shift job, so we never see each other, and I feel like a single parent most of the time, I still have to cook, clean, run errands, attend school functions, pick kids up and drop them off, take care of the baby, who has fortunately just weaned himself, and work a full-time job. I get between 6 and 7 hours of sleep a night, but my life is a very tight routine, if something happens, I immediately go into problem-solving mode to try to balance everything else back out. Honestly, I don't know how I do it, the half hour of free time that I get per day is usually spent catching up on here, thankfully I have the app to track calories throughout the day, and a BodyMedia that tracks my calories out. My workouts are typically around 7-8 at night, and I pretty much go to bed immediately afterwards, I have to be up at 4 am, so that doesn't leave me a whole lot of time to exercise in the morning.

Hello mom's :)

Just wondering how you are doing with working out, working, taking care of baby and family and most of all sleep? My lil one is 10 months and I have adapted well to working out but only since she was 7-8 months. Life is a juggle... I go back to work in May I am not looking forward to that at all ..
:) Working out is going great I am loving the Bootcamp challenges.
