Hi Misty. One great thing is that if your family all want to lose weight and get more fit, you have an instant support team. Make planning meals and healthy snacks a team effort, and plan some fun family fitness activities. Going back to school is challenging, but it can also be super fulfilling. I hope that you enjoy it. About the best advice I can give is to make a schedule to do you work and be consistent. Enlist the support of your kids in keeping up the house. Make this a family thing too, and work on feeling like a team and keeping the spirits high!
P.S. I have really received help with my self-esteem from counseling. If you can't afford it for your son, check in with your church leaders, a school counselor, or some other community programs to see if you can get some financial help with it.
