I tend to prefer high level amateur ball. We have some great wooden bat leagues in the NE.

My in-laws live in the Mobile area- I love the BayBears. Great minor league experience.

Here in Upstate NY, minor league ball in my favorite league, the NY-Penn league, has priced itself out of cities like Niagara Falls, Utica, and Oneonta, which is really sad to me. Minor league ball has gone more "corporate".

They have a couple of wooden bat collegiate summer leagues now, which are fun but not quite the same to me- level of play among the teams is very uneven and lacking in the parity of affiliated minor league ball......

Cant beat the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Been seeing a lot of the Rockies coming down to rehab and such. Great to see some of the big guys up close!

I'm a huge fan of AAA ball. Been a season ticket holder since the stadium opened just a few miles from home.

Nothing beats a live ball game for quality entertainment.

root canals are better ... my local team is a dreadful "unaffiliated" team in an independent league ... all we get are guys who might have played a few games in the bigs and NO ONE whowill ever get back there ... the stadium is small and cramped ... and it is $12 for a seat. $12!!!!!!!!!! ....

Love the minor league baseball. Either Kane County Cougars (Class A affiliate for Oakland in the Midwest League) or the Joliet Jackhammers (Northern League independent).

Is there anything better than a day at the park of your local minor league team?
