Glad that you found something that worked for you. In general though, people should not take any vitamin or mineral supplement without consulting their doctor. Large excesses of minerals and vitamins can be dangerous.
I am very glad that you are finding success with this, but really caution you against advising everyone to take multivitamins, or any supplement. For some people it could potentially be very dangerous. Really, your Dr is the best person to advise based on your health and your needs. Also, remember, too, that there are times a second opinion from a Dr is very worth-while.

Back in July, I began having heart palpitations and arrythmias. I had a resting pulse of 100 bpm. I was eating healthy and going to the gym 3-4 times a week. Suddenly, about mid-July I began having the symptoms. Just walking to the mailbox was exhausting to me. I could no longer work out at the gym because I was freaking out that I was gonna die. My older sister was diagnosed a few years ago with hyperthyroidism and thought I might have the same thing since my symptoms matched. After I went to the doctor, it was discovered I too had an overactive thyroid. I decided not to follow his advice by having my thyroid zapped and taking thyroid medication for the rest of my life. Instead I did some reading and discovered that I was possibly deficient in magnesium. I began taking slo mag and amazingly some days I had no symptoms at all. Now, 2 months later, I have no symptoms and sleep like a baby. Furthermore, I have a normal heartbeat 60-65 bpm now. I discovered that most Americans are deficient in magnesium because our soils are deficient. If our soils are deficient, so will our food. Magnesium is flushed out of your body daily if you drink alcohol or caffeine and don't supplement. Magnesium is a very important mineral that regulates your heartbeat and nervous system, keeps your bones healthy and helps you sleep. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't having dreams at night but now, have a ton of dreams at night. I discovered that the cheap Walgreens multivitamin I was taking had a lot of oxide forms of minerals that are NOT absorbed well by the body. I have since switched to a chelated multivitamin/mineral supplement since these types of minerals are well absorbed. I am now working out again and feel great. I hope everyone is taking a multivitamin/mineral daily because I now believe that you can help ward off a lot of health problems by doing so.
