eat variety and try new things so you don't get bored. Also, make sure you eat more earlier in day so you aren't too hungry at night. I also do tea and that helps fill me up. And, now that I have a laptop I come on here and get my points at night on couch vs. eating (while my husband munches). Sometimes I have fruit or yogurt at that time too.

Hi,

You can find some great tips about that in this article: www.sparkpeople.com/resource/nutrition_art

. A few things that have helped me and/or other members include: drinking herbal tea instead, keeping hands busy with a craft or hobby, reading. With some experimentation, you will likely be able to find what works best for you. Good luck with all your goals!

I do great during breakfast (usually a bowl of oatmeal with coffee) and lunch (salad with a wheat roll, some sort of fruit). Then when its time for my first snack, things seem to go downhill. My plan is usually to have air popped popcorn with a little salt for my first snack, then dinner (fish, rice, veggie), then my last snack of the night, fruit. But somewhere along the way I get either hungry or bored (I can never tell) and I binge eat my way through the night (example/ after lunch I ate popcorn, got creative with crunchy peanut butter on a spoon sprinkled with bare naked lite granola-I did this 4 times, then my usual dinner, ate an apple, grapes, and a handful of raw peanuts that I just roasted). Where am I going wrong? Do you have any tips on controlling out of control evening eating?
