There is no such option on Spark. You're not missing anything, it's just not there.
Your best bet is as stated - turn off the meal plans and simply track your food.

I don't think that SparkPeople can reasonably be expected to create meal plans for every possible variation in diet. When your needs are that specific, you need to work with a dietician to ensure your nutritional needs are being met. Once you've worked with a professional to create a healthy meal plan, you can enter the ingredients into Spark's nutrition tracker yourself, and turn off the suggested meal plans. I think that most successful Sparkers have turned off the meal plans and simply record their own healthy foods each day.

I'm wondering how to substitute items in the pre-made menus for food allergies. I am allergic to milk, cheese, cottage cheese, gluten, and broccoli. I also don't eat butter, sugar, honey, or any type of sweetener. I would hope that there is an option somewhere that would exclude ingredients that people can't eat. Could someone help me with this issue?
