I agree, that would help tremendously!

I would like to have a menu planner that is more interactive. For example, I enter the fruit and vegetables I have on hand or want to eat that week and the planner would help me distribute them into the places calling for fruit or vegetables. I agree that having a way to remove an entire meal from the planner but perhaps keep the other meals in place would be great. Right now, it is all or nothing. So if I know that I can't do the prescribed lunches because of work, I would like to insert something else, but keep the dinner in place, without having to go through the remove thing for every ingredient. I would also like to see a shopping list linked to the meal planner option.

I would also like the option of no beans when you first set up the menu options. I'm not a big bean eater, so I find I'm skipping this part of the menu planner and sometimes substituting sometimes not.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could go through an intial meal plan list either at the beginning of the week or upon signing up for sparks, that you could check off all the foods you like or have on hand or just the opposite by marking off the things that you will not eat or can't eat (allergies & so forth)it would decrease the amount of substitutions you would have to each day. Spark designers or administrators, is there anyway to install this option. How many other think this wourld be sooooo useful in sticking to the meal plans???

If you clicked the link on the recipe page to add it to your meal planner, then it would be listed on your nutrition tracker page. You can get there by going to the My Tools tab and select My Nutrition.

Hope that helps!

I love having the Menu Plan showing, as it inspires me to try new things and keep a balanced diet (when to have a fruit serving, dairy, etc.). However, even when I am using this 80% of the time, there are always going to be meals that I eat off plan.

I know I can add foods, but I'd like to be able to "hide" the meal plan for any given meal! Perhaps a checkbox that says: "Meal on My Own" (for example, beside the lunch heading) would be helpful. The way it is currently ends up looking very cluttered. Is there any reason this couldn't be done?

Also, it would be delightful if you could PLAN your own meals ahead of time, so that when you add foods they show up with the checkbox which you can check off as you eat.
