Measurements can certainly help keep us motivated on our journey, but I recommend that one not take measurements but once a month. Doing so too frequently can lead to disappointment if there is little or no change. Remember it takes time for our bodies to shrink, regardless of how hard we are working. TRUST THE PROCESS that as long as you are embracing healthy habits, you are moving in the right direction.

Don't worry. One thing I would recommend is that you don't measure yourself more than once every two weeks. I know people measure every week, but you really won't see dramatic changes in so short a time. So, take your measurements every two weeks.
I found this article about measuring. It helps but for some reason measuring makes me nervous.

I want to measure my waist, thighs, etc but I am afraid that when I go to measure again I won't put the tape measure in the exact same spot. Does anybody have any tips? Maybe get a tattoo around my waist?? J/K
