I like the GNC Lean Shake. I have been drinking through a canister of vanilla bean. I took a suggestion once to add a sprinkle of fat free cheesecake pudding mix, some fresh blueberries or strawberries, skim milk and ice. It tastes like a blueberry/strawberry cheesecake shake! :)

My favorite is Healthy Accents vanilla. I have mixed it with 8 oz of skim milk. Also add banana and frozen strawberries sometimes. I went crazy one day and added an avacado to the mixture. It was very tasty!
I sometimes use Precision Engineered Whey Protein Isolate Powder (from Vitamin World) in 8 ounces of milk. I love the Vanilla. I am nearly out, so am waiting on my order from Puritan's Pride..I ordered 1 container of their Protein Isolate Powder in Vanilla and you get one free. I love Puritan's Pride because you can get vitamins, supplements and minerals either buy one get one, or most of them are buy one get two free. I also order thru Ebates.com and get cash back checks too (so even more savings. If you decide to order anything vitamins, or whatever and you decide to use Ebates please put that I referred you thru this link... http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=bMG fnjviCp0UBpyIPbYjLg%3D%3D
If I don't get enough protein in my day I have found that I tend to get dizzy and light headed so I sometimes do a protein shake and a clementine for lunch.

My husband and I are on week 2 of shake meal replacement(dinner). We are doing dinner for the shake because he works late hours and neither one of likes the way eating a late dinner makes us feel. I was afraid that it would not be satisfying enough but have been pleasantly surprised that we have not had any late night cravings! I actually find it much easier to fix my son his dinner and then throw some fruits/veggies in the blender and it's done! I have a Special K flatbread sandwich for breakfast and then a sensible lunch. I will say that we are allowing ourselves dinner on the weekends since we are not be lunch eaters except during the week. I hope to lose a few pounds but so far, I just like the way I feel and I swear I am sleeping better, lol!!!

I make my own smoothies from fruits and vegetables, PB2 for protein (until I get some protein powder) and either water, milk, or almond milk for the liquid. I can usually get several servings of fruits and vegetables this way! :)

I use meal replacements from Herbalife.

I use the HealthOne meal replacements and like them because I can drink them, make muffins or pudding or bake them into chips. The downside to the HealthOne is I can only get them through the weightloss program I go to. But I have been comparing some others to the calories and nutrition in these so that when I leave the program (finish that is) I will have something similar in the "real" world to use. I saw some great ideas here as a matter of fact! :) Thank you all!

I like Atkins which is low in sugar and GNC. I also will make my own with spinach, frozen berries, a couple of cooked egg whites for protein and either water, skim milk or almond milk. I make a double batch so I have one for the next day. I will also use kale and add beets if I have them. It's fun to experiment and find the one you like best.
Just this week I started using Atkins shakes for a quick breakfast. Not sure if it's a meal replacement or just a drink to get more protein. Either way, THEY DO NOT FILL ME UP even if I have a banana with it. My favorite is Strawberry, tastes like strawberry milk and no aftertaste. Eventually I'd like to start making my own.
Are they supposed to be a meal replacement? Wonder what I'm doing wrong.
Over the counter ones? i refuse to buy those. they may appear nutritious, but they have a lot of additives and preservatives. how else can they be unrefrigerated on the shelves at the supermarket. i am with the PP that makes their own. I make a green smoothie for breakfast every morning. Mine are packed with nutirition and coupled with the juicing i do, are sufficient at keeping me full. normally takes me two or so hours to fully finish my smoothie
I like most slimfast bars and shakes. I also like the Special K bars and shakes. I am diabetic so I usually look for something with protein. The Glucerna hunger control shakes in chocolate are pretty good too. Now that I am retired I will try to make some smoothies too but it always seemed to take too long when I was working.

I make my own with 3 fruit and 1/2 cup nonfat cottage cheerse for the protein, a little water and ice cubes.
I don't like any of the ones mentioned. I buy the GNC lein protein shake powder and through my together in a blender as I walk out the door. My 2 favorite recipes I've concocted are:
3/4 scoop vanilla, 3/4 scoop mixed berry, 1/2 frozen banana, 1/3 c skim milk, 4 ice cubes, 1/2 c frozen strawberries or 3/4 scoop vanilla, 3/4 c chocolate, 1/2 frozen banana, 4 ice cubes, 1/3 c skim milk, and a bit of pepperment candy flavoring (tastes like a green mint chip milkshake!)

If you're looking for something with a low calorie count that you can just grab and go, yoplait makes a line of frozen smoothies. The Banana chocolate is my favorite! I just add some soymilk and sometimes frozen strawberries!! One bag makes 2 servings and both are quite large. I can't fit both into my tumbler if I wanted to. Super easy and it fills me up for a while!

I make my own; green smoothies. I add egg whites, whole eggs, nut butters, greek yogurt, and even meat (to savory recipes) if I need more protein. My newphew currently likes this one for lunch:
I use them regularly. They serve several purposes for me~ They help curb my chocolate cravings, they fill me up and they are nutritious. I use the Walmart (Equate) brand ultra chocolate and they are delicious as is or for an added boost of nutrition I throw one in the blender with a frozen banana and/or a handful of babay spinach. Mmmm

Has anyone tried meal replacement shakes? I usually have to eat breakfast and lunch on the run and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the shakes or drinks now on the market?
