For anyone new to this challenge confused by the "formula" some us use to post out minutes ... please don't worry about it too much. We are a friendly group that welcomes your participation regardless of how you choose to format your fitness minutes report. You can use whatever format works best for you.

Today, 5/1/13 ... I did 30 minutes of exercise. Some with a DVD from The Firm called "Total Body Time Crunch" and I spent a few minutes doing some kettlebell exercises. My goal is to do 600 minutes this month.

600 / 30 / 570 minutes remaining

You'll have a list going, so for the first couple days it may look like this:

5/1: 900/30/870
So your goal is 900, you did 30 that day, and have 870 to go. The next day you would post:

5/1: 900/30/870
5/2: 900/40/830

So your goal is still 900, you did 40 minutes on the second, and combined with the first you only have 830 minutes to go now. So the goal will never change, the second column will be the minutes you did that day, and the last column will be how many minutes you have to go for the month.

Hope this helps and I didn't confuse you more. It confused me at first too.

I am confused about this formula. I understand it as it is the 1st day of the goal
like my goal is
900 minutes for May
I walked 30 minutes today which leaves me 870 minutes

now say I walk tomorrow 30 minutes and I post do I post that my goal is
900/30 or 60 because I would add the 30 from today and 30 from yesterday I am confused sorry

I bike - walk - and do water aerobics - lots of yard work too.

I will go with 2500 min for the month of May.

2500 - 60 min walk =2440

Haven't been doing too good as of late. School will be ending soon so I should be able to free up some lunch time work outs.

With that I am going to try for 700 this month.

In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to work out in May and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended (but not required.)

goal / # of minutes today / # of minutes remaining to reach goal

My goal will be my usual 600 minutes -- that's 30 minutes x 5 days per week x 4 weeks.

600 / 0 / 600 minutes remaining

Everybody is welcome to join. The more, the merrier!
