I am tired of doing free-weights. One of my goals for this year was to complete a 30-week program. I did that at the end of August. I figured that I would try something different to break up the monotony.
I first started the program back in 2004, but I was sidelined at Christmas, and I never finished it. On top of weightlifting, I was riding my bike indoors on a Minoura trainer. I have over 1500 km indoors and 120 km outdoors. I was aiming to ride 70 km from my place to my parents', but I bonked at 60 km. I needed a ride the rest of the way.
I believe that just working with my own body weight will be a change and a challenge. I maxed out on weight that I could handle properly and safely. Now, I want to see what I can do with balance and stability equipment.
Any exercise not listed by Spark can be added by you in your "Favorites"

Sounds like your spreadsheet is more useful than the SP fitness tracker. The SP fitness tracker is really only good (for non-cardio anyway) for tracking reps/time. I'd just keep track of your progress in your spreadsheet and create a generic exercise in SP where you can log the minutes.
Out of curiosity, what are you seeking to gain from core exercises that you couldn't do with free weights or bodyweight exercises?

I bought the 'The Great Balance & Stability Handbook' a few weeks ago in preparation of changing my workout routine from free-weights to core exercises. I took the time to use a spreadsheet program to list, filter, and sort all of the exercises.
Last night, I completed my first attempt with the list that I created of novice difficulty exercises using the BOSU Balance Trainer. The problem that I am having is matching some of the names of the exercises to those listed on SparkPeople, so that I can create an exercise group.
Searching for 'bosu' only returns one entry, and it is not the exercise that I did, nor will I be doing it later.
Some of the items in the list are close, but others are non-existent, like 'Push-Offs'.
Will the list be expanded in the future to include them? Will alternatives to 'SOMETHING with Ball' be 'SOMETHING with BOSU'?
In the meantime, I will record my progress on paper, so that I can return to the fitness page and track my progress. If there is not a solution or suggestion that I like, then I will resort to creating my own exercises and ignore the calorie burn. I am more interested in the minutes.
