I am not interested in past thread-jacked threads, I am talking about from here on out.

At Gluecipher: I have invited anyone to use the report inappropriate post button below, you are free to do so, I got no problem with that.

This is silly. The Mod should close this thread.

??? You're not talking about him???? Ok then, *drops knife* everything is ok.
Wait are you calling ME effeminate and androgynous? nice emoticon

LISTEN, I really wanted to join the navy, I didn't say anything bad and still that guy treated me like s**t because YOU told him to do so. Hunter wouldn't have even posted there if it wasn't for that........... BUT Ok, lets assume we "thread jacked" that poor thread for no reason, what other threads have we thread jacked? I mean, because you guys keep saying we ruined the guys' lounge and that we are trolls. Just tell me what other threads we ruined, please, because I already checked on the first and the second page of the guys' lounge and I can't find any other........

Putting words in my mouth to make me look foolish is backfiring on you and is making YOU look foolish instead. Don't bring Danny into this conversation, he didn't thread jack the military thread, he served in the military and replied intelligently.

If folks were to stop thread-jacking then all of this conversation is a non-issue, let threads be replied to with the intention for which they were made.

Twist my words to fit your narrative all you want, you're not gonna win the propaganda war that way.

I did not say "all", you did.

I didn't say you offended me, "you" did.

And this is DAMN funny to me.....

and YOU should be ashamed, not me.

So, you are saying all effeminate/androgynous guys here bully you and you feel threatened by them? I'm sorry, did I ever offend you in some way? You've gone too far... this is not funny, you should be ashamed...

Yeah, um, my point had zero to do with sexual orientation but rather "Bullying"....thought I made that clear but I'll do better now; there are TROLLS in the Guys' Lounge thread-jacking with malice regardless of intelligence, I wish it would stop.

I knew that! (Samurai wore makeup)....

I studied Ninjitsu as a teen.

Kiss wears makeup too - look at their track record with the ladies! haha

Gluecipher is right - growing up in Canada we look at these things differently.

I have great friends who are gay and lesbians - they're wonderful people and my life is richer having them in it.

Just my opinion.

I just read that whole thread and actually they were funny and intelligent , maybe "stupidity" was absent or somewhere else (and before insulting me too I have a very high IQ , post university studies and speak 5 languages) . and in my 3rd world country being a jock was a serious impediment to pass your exams and you needed help from the nerds , no one sane ever thought about bully them , bullying was forbidden anyway it would have only been making things worse , after you wasted all your time playing soccer or basketball you were a delinquent too? oh and military service was mandatory in those times , for girls too if they went to university , everybody hated it. as for feeling intimidated by " girlish"guys, please ,I wish I could see that day (did you know japanese samurai wore make up? ).

I totally agree with all of your comments "what goes around comes around"! As for being intimidated? Gay or straight -- as I get older it REALLY doesn't matter to me, the only thing that I need to be concerned with is myself -- right? However, stupidity doesn't clash well with me and some of the comments that were addressed on my post "Military"? Well, I better leave those opinions to myself. However, I think you all know what I am thinking (Ooorah)!

Funny, I remember reading an article from Saturday Night Live guy Joe Piscopo years ago, saying that it was fun and cool to be jock-like and beat on the nerds in high school - but as he says now the nerds are running the world.

To your point KJ and Gluecipher - yeah what goes around comes around.... karma!

I don't think they are intimidated as much as they fear becoming a girly-man. Same reason regions teach hatred toward gays. Growing up in Canada we are more tolerant to that sort of behaviour. I personally dont feel threatened.

Do you think Manly Macho Men are intimidated by guys with Effeminacy and/or Androgyny type traits?

Or more to the point, do you think they CARE about guys with those traits?

I think it depends on the Macho Guy, I think some guys just don't give a crap about guys with those traits and I think others ARE intimidated by them.

I suppose the real point is if those traits (from macho men, too) are erased from the social equation would it change anything?

In high school (70's for me) the big jocks absolutely beat the crap out of girly-boys and it wasn't right but society has tried to better itself since those days or at the very least recognize that it's WRONG to bully anyone for their views and/or behavior/traits (and of course for any other reason). But could there be a time when the tables are turned where the "girly-men" get their turn? Certainly not in physical presence but perhaps in a media of some sort.....?

BTW - The report Inappropriate post button is right down there............. emoticon
