I read the full letter and it was disgusting, but what really brought tears to my eyes was the full support of the community. They fell behind this woman as this should be. We should think about this more then the letter.

Yes this has caused a furor in the community wherein it took place. I feel that people probably know who did it and the more it comes to light, that ignoramus is going to wish they never put pen to paper.

Here's what the world is coming to:

"Since news of the letter first surfaced, there has been a huge outpouring of support for the family from neighbours and the autism community. On Sunday, at least 120 people waited outside Millson's home to show their support."

+1 for society :)

Definitely something can be done legally. Writing anonymous hate letters is more than likely against the law pretty much everywhere and if not there are civil remedies.

I do hope they find this moron.

But to be honest, I don't think the fact that there are mean people in the world (and there are and always have been) precludes that there are normal and good people in the world.

Plus it doesn't mean the world is coming to anything. Hate and anonymously attacking people with words is nothing new.

I hope the person is found that did this, maybe legally something can't be done but would be nice for this person to face public scrutiny, I hate when people don't have the gall to say something to someones face and are cowards to write something and hide behind a letter or a computer in some cases, let this mother who should be grateful that she has kids that aren't sick or have autism face public humiliation sure would teach her a lesson. It was just horrible to write such a letter like this to that family.

Yes, there is selfishness, meanness and misery in the world.
That doesn't mean I have to join in with it.

Yes it is shocking and shameful, but i disagree that "and it just shows how heartless are society is becoming." MOST of society is made up of good people. This letter is not representative of what we encounter when participating in society, 99.999% of the time.

Sounds like the letter writer needs a lobotomy.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read this heartless letter that was sent to a family in Ontario Canada, they have an autistic child and the gutless person who wrote this was quite rude, heartless, vicious, rotten I mean there's no one word to describe how awful this person was for sending this type of a letter to a family who is trying to just love their child.
I was in tears reading this because it was so mean and I can't imagine how the mother felt when reading this about her child.
Of course the person typed it because people love to hide behind something nowadays, when they spoke of euthanizing the child, or donating parts that weren't damaged by autism I gasped as I couldn't believe that someone would be so rotten to another human being when describing what should be done to their child.
This is just shameful and it just shows how heartless are society is becoming , god bless this family and give them strength... god bless this child! emoticon
