Stephanie, my most recent dehydrator works fine and scents the kitchen nicely when in use, I bought mine at Ace Hardware. It is round and plastic but I did like one in metal I borrowed from a friend years ago but it took up lots more space. Here is a link to several varieties reviewed www.kitchenchatters.com/?post_type=article

Many who ask for Grace would be shocked to hear that the troubles which may have followed their request were actually the very form in which the higher power granted the Grace to them.
-- Paul Brunton, Notebooks Category 18: The Reverential Life

Good afternoon,

I have so much to be grateful for~~

~ SAVOY/Shana's journey to wellness never ceases to amaze me (check out her photos)! Wonder what mischief she is up to this weekend???

~ registration and application for scholarship in the mail today to Magnolia Grove Monastery for latter September meditation retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh

~ heart-to-heart talk with my former partner/housemate (verging on miraculous to be able to talk about some matters of concern to me)

~ great note from dear girlfriend dealing with MAJOR health issues (in her early 50's) and possibility of hanging out with her this weekend

~ Paul Brunton, whose life and work I came upon some years ago, attracts me greatly -- (1898-1981) "British philosopher, mystic, traveler, and guru. He left a journalistic career to live among yogis, mystics, and holy men, and studied Eastern and Western esoteric teachings. Dedicating his life to an inward and spiritual quest, Brunton felt charged to communicate his experiences about what he had learned in the East to others."

-Indeed, Rebecca, as always, making sure the thread for this new month is waiting here for us, many thanks!
-Rebecca's garden making it through the lingering winter snows
-Sunshine streaming through my window this morning; as the weather says it won't be around for the rest of the week, I'm appreciating it while it's here, as is my tuxedo kitty, soaking up the sun in her spot at the window on her soft, comfie towel!!
-My new frother that arrived yesterday so I can save money making my own hot chai au laits right here at home (they raised prices at my favorite coffeehouse; it will now have to be a treat rather than a daily occurrence (I will make up the cost of the frother in two weeks!!!)
-This practice, my favorite way to start my day, and all of you who share on this board
-Friends
-Fruit and almonds given out by my company every Tuesday as part of the current 6-week eating right incentive program
-MAJOR project at work nearly off my plate; after yesterday's research, it might be gone officially today!!!

The idea here is to write at least five things you are grateful or appreciative each day, thus cultivating an attitude of gratitude I will be here with my 5 when it is May for me. I appreciate everyone who joins me in this tradition.
