I went to a run club at a Mexican restaurant that had no-sugar-added margaritas with fresh juice. They were delicious!

@ LISSABROOKE
If I were you I would try the sugar free margarita mix.

Hi Bonvovi, that sounds good I'm gonna have to try that! But one question...the soda does ok in the blender?

6 oz lemon-lime soda--1 1/2 oz tequila--1pkt.(2 calorie serving)sugar free powdered lemonade drink mix--5-8 ice cubes or 1 cup crushed ice--lime slice (optional) ---Stir together soda, tequila, lime juice and drink mix.For frozen drink, place mixture in blender with ice and blend until smooth. Or pour mixture over ice. serve with lime slice if desired--Makes 1 serving, 115 calories, ----

P.S. I love this, and my husband prefers these low cal margaritas instead of the high calorie high carb ones- and the morning after we drunk them we didn't have the heartburn me and him both have sometimes gotten drinking the regular high calorie margaritas--

Have you tried Skinny Girl Cocktails?

They are pretty decent!

Oh, I forgot to add, sometimes I add a bit of seltzer/soda water to it too, because I enjoy the bubbles and it cuts the sugar even more.

Happy sipping!

Hi! I love tequila but the all that sour mix in a normal margarita makes me sick and heartburn-y. So here's how I make mine at home. (You could sub a low sugar OJ for lower cals!)

Fill a shaker with ice.
Pour in 1/3 tequila, 1/3 sour mix and 1/3 orange juice.
Squeeze in a couple of slices of fresh lime.
Shake well (or blend until smooth) and pour into salted margarita glass.
ENJOY!

If you like a sweeter margarita you could add a little bit of triple sec or Cointreau(sugary=more calories), but I usually don't have any, so I leave it out and it tastes fine to me!

I love love love margaritas. Unfortunately, it's one of my downfalls. I can never drink just one but I don't drink enough to get drunk. I just really like the way they taste. My question is is there some sort of alternative that still tastes comparable? I've seen the sugar free margarita mixes but I've been hesitant to try one because I don't want to spend money on something I won't enjoy. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I know the portion control is all on me and I'm working on being better about it.
