Swimming is probably the best. However I have seen some chair exercises that they do with seniors in retirement homes. It keeps them limber and had some strength training, which of course is also a bit of cardio. It would be pretty low impact.

Swimming is about the lowest impac exercise you can do, but not everyone has access to a pool. Do you?
If you don't, elliptical and biking are better than walking or running for impact but can still cause stress depending on the injury.

If you have an injury, you should start with your doctors recommendations first. What did your doctor say you could and couldn't do ?
If your doctor says that any low impact activity is okay, how about taking a daily walk ? Can you walk without any pain ? If so, take a daily walk. there are members who will tell you how they lost 100+ pounds just by walking and watching what they ate.
Do you have access to a pool ? Swimming is wonderful low impact exercise.
You could do Leslie Sason's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. those are low impact.
If you're using an arm bike, a regular bike as well as some strength training too, that's good exercise. You don't want to do too much because doing too much could hinder your recovery. I know you don't want to lose the groove you've gotten in because of this injury, but your body needs time to heal too.
When it comes to gaining or losing weight, what matters most is what we eat. Good nutrition and portion control help take the weight off and keep it off. Exercise is what keeps our bodies fit. In short, if you can't exercise as vigorously as you'd like, just be mindful of your portion sizes.
Due to an injury, I am stuck with low to no impact stuff right now but I don't want to get out of my grove. Ideas for cardio? I'm using teh bike and the arm bike and mixing it up with strength training and yoga right now
