I agree with everyone else.. I wonder why a salad is always a default "side" for pizza, pasta and other saucy things?

Agreed. Salad is the way to go. I would eat the salad first and then grab your pizza, that way you fill up on the healthier stuff first.

I almost always eat a side salad with either just a flavored vinegar and/or citrus on it or a little little bit of dressing. I also like either raw fruit or raw veggies with pizza.

I agree with the previous posters on salad. I ALWAYS eat a big green salad with my pizza.

salad & fresh veggies ALWAYS go w/ pizza emoticon
(just don't get carried away w/ thick dressings that will be as bad as the pizza)

Mom ordered pizza for lunch, and there is a very good chance we'll be having pizza leftovers for dinner. I've already decided to stick with just one slice of the veggie pizza, but I don't know what to have with it so I'm not still hungry for more. I think I'll have corn with it, but I don't know what else. We don't typically have sides with our pizza, but I'm trying really hard to stay within my calories for the day. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
