I like soups, melons, popcorn. Also, I often scramble an egg and put it on a whole wheat thin - less than 200 calories and pretty filling.

veggies are great. Try some peanuts for the protein. It stretches really well into dinner. You only get 1 oz. per serving, but they have healthy fats and lots of protein.

I agree on the veggies! Fat free or lowfat yogurt, oatmeal, whole grain bread, grits, cream of wheat, whole wheat pasta, baked taters, baked sweet taters...There's actually a LOT of healthy things that don't necessarily have to be terribly "low cal" to fill you up. The idea is to stay within your calorie range with the majority of the choices being HEALTHY-but to be on the safe side, don't ALWAY deny yourself the stuff you like-because that leads to overindulgence!

Off the top of my head, especially hot-weather stuff:
-a big salad, mostly water-based veggies, with lemon/olive oil vinaigrette
-iced tea or water throughout the day
-fiber (I like Miraclefiber) added to drinks 1-3X/day
-juicy fruits: oranges/melons
-anything that takes a while to eat (pistachios, 1/2 c.)

ETA: lowfat cottage cheese---I like Horizon 2%. Also, "low calorie" may not satiate you over the long term. Sometimes, especially if you're working out or active, it's better to eat a regular/normal/"whole" food than a lowfat food. For instance, eating a serving of nuts (fat!!) might be better than eating a 100-cal processed package of snack item. Do your research! It's not just about lowfat or's about how your body uses what you ingest.

Greek yogurt (lots of protein) with some fiber-rich cereal (like Kashi heart to heart) and fresh fruit (i like blueberries or sliced strawberries) mixed in. If you pick the right brand of nonfat greek yogurt and watch your cereal portion, you'll stay under 200 calories. I eat it as a breakfast, but it would be an awesome snack too. It keeps me full until lunch!

70 cal dannon light and fit yogurt, fresh fruit of any kind but I especially enjoy melons, strawberries, grapes, grape tomatoes, half of a bagel thin with a small amount of reduced fat peanut butter.

have a cuppa!! - Since I started this after supper (my worst time) I make and drink at least 1 or 2 cups of tea. Also a cup of diet hot chocolate was a great lifesaver for a while.

I agree with the sweet but healthy (strawberries, raspberries, etc), but also, if you just want a goodie, I oddly find that the sugar free Jello cups are relatively filling for what they are (and only 10 calories)

Have a salad or vegetable soup. Also, almost any fruits. i have a huge bag of baby carrots in my fridge for these purposes. Also, popcorn (popped with an air-popper, you can get one for less than $20 on amazon or at walmart), with spices such as chili powder or cajun seasonings to give it a kick without adding a bunch of sodium. Edy's real fruit pops are good if you want a sweet cold snack during the summer. Edamame (soy beans) are great if you need a protein kick, but they also have a normal amount of calories, you can't just munch on them. Hard boiled eggs are a great snack too.

I've been hungrier today and yesterday than I ordinarily am. I've logged breakfast, lunch and a snack. I need ideas to get through the afternoon into dinner. HELLLLPPPP! please emoticon
