I lucked into a Vita-Mix 3600 on ebay. It is an older model with the stainless steel jar. I enjoy smoothies for lunch. I use greek yogurt or cottage cheese as a base, fiber one cereal, oats, or white beans for fiber, and usually kale. When my calorie budget allows, I use half a frozen banana, or some avocado.
I currently use a hamilton beach, but can't wait for the Vita-Mix. I'd appreciate some new ideas that don't call for protein powder. I'd like to keep the calorie count at 300 or less. I'm looking forward to using fresh veggies when they are in season. I'm feeling adventurous, and can't wait to try dandelion greens when they start popping up in the spring (I don't spray the yard).
