Garlic, fresh or roasted(this makes the garlic super sweet and mellow in flavor)
Love using all the varieties of Just a Pinch no salt seasonings (lots of flavor)
Fresh cracked black pepper (you'll never go back to pre-ground)
Fresh herbs, dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and small amounts of stronger tasting cheeses like feta, blue cheese, and parmesan (all have some calories but even a small amount add lots of flavor)
I use dijon mustard to add flavor all the time. I also use onions in almost everything I make. Fresh herbs are also a great flavor booster.
I make a lot of chicken breast which doesn't really have a strong flavor so I buy a few different bottled sauces to jazz it up. Most of them are low calorie and fat free just watch the sodium.
If you like spicy food you can also use hot sauce or pepper flakes. My husband loves spicy food so I marinade chicken for him in sriracha, fresh garlic, and a little olive oil and then just grill it or broil it.
Ok so we all know garlic and lemon are a couple. can you help me wit some different ingredients that will help the same old meals taste different or inspire me to make new things?
