If you type "low potassium" into the search box at the top of the page, it will link you to a Spark page that has articles and recipes. Hope it helps.

I know how your Dad feels, I'm on a low potassium diet too! I'm on dialysis. In my case it's even worse, I have to watch my protein, phosphate, salt and water levels too!

I have joined this site for my poor mother. My father was diagnosed with Membranous Nephthropothy in September 2009 and was told there was nothing they could do for him. That there was no cure and that it was only going to be a matter of time. However, 2 years later he is still here but has recently been told that he must remain on a low potassium diet, and has been told the things he must avoid. However, he is a traditional meat and 2 veg kind of person and does not eat a lot of rice or pasta. Mother has been told that she must boil vegetables until they have practically no colour left, potatoes, before roasting for a least 20 mins, that she must not use the veg water to make her gravy etc etc. In short, she is running out of ideas. He does not like a lot of pasta or rice. Does anyone know of a good receipe book which specialises in Low Potassium receipes which I can buy her or know of a good website where I can download, print and send them to her in the post? Help!
