Sometimes adding some kind of sauce will help with variety.


Here is a low carb BBQ sauce recipe to add to chicken/pork/beef or make a stir fry with meat and veggies !!

LOW CARB BBQ SAUCE

1 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/4 cup Splenda
1/4 cup Brown Sugar Splenda
3/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring

In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the mustard, Splenda, cider vinegar, chili powder, black pepper, white pepper, and cayenne pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Stir in the soy sauce, butter, and liquid smoke; simmer for 10 more minutes. Cool completely, and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors before using.

ALFREDO SAUCE
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
3/4 cup grated parmasan or romano cheese
1/8 teaspoon black pepper


Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add cream and simmer until reduced to 1 cup, about 10 minutes.

Remove from heat; stir in cheese and pepper until the cheese melts and sauce is smooth.


This one is awesome with chicken and broccoli !!

It would help to know what kinds of things you have "exhausted" to give you new ideas.

What are some of your "go to" low carb foods/meals.

I am looking for any hints on low carb recipes. I have pretty much exhausted my recipes, and am finding that continually repeating the same food is making this whole process a bit more painful.
