My lovable losers are the St. Louis Blues. They made it to the playoffs 14 straight years and never won the Cup and more recently they have started out every season 15+ games above .500 and just tank the last 2/3 of the season. I love seeing any East coast team in any sport lose. This is because of the media, not so much the teams. I can't stand that ESPN/CBS/NBC all continually preach and placate to the east coast population that Boston/NY teams are the best at everything.

I think the Knicks have won twice - 70 & 73... so not in over 38 years or so... yeah - I think that qualifies as losers.

My favorite losers (who I love) are the San Diego Chargers... they have a few conference championships under their belts but they have never won THE BIG GAME!

I would choose the New York Knicks. Maybe I'm still too young to remember, but when was the last time they won a national championship?

Wouldn't you know it? I started this topic last night and when I woke up this morning saw the following news:

"Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpson is facing a criminal charge four months after a package of marijuana was allegedly delivered to his Northern Kentucky home."

We all know teams that are perpetual losers...teams that haven't come close to a championship in years or even decades. Maybe the haven't come close ever. Some of these teams keep losing, but you love them anyway. Some of them lose and you're glad because of the kind of team they are. I'm not talking about teams that you're glad to see lose because they are your favorite team's rival. For example, the Chicago Cubs haven't come close to a championship in, well almost forever, but they're lovable (to a lot of people). On the other hand, I'm ok with the Cincinnati Bengals losing, because of their pepetually poor managment and the number of players that they often have who are in trouble with the law. What do you think? Any teams you'd care to mention in either category?
