Remember that weight loss is primarily about nutrition. Focus on your diet, and work on building up your stamina slowly. You'll get there!

I am in the same situation, I need to lose a lot of weight but I am so overweight that I really struggled in the beginning. Don't try so hard. Start out at an even pace and you will pick up very quickly and do better. Start using only the treadmill and build up your speed daily, then increase the incline if you can. After you feel a little better add something like simple kettle bells (strength) and then increase. I only walk 2x's a day for 12-24 minutes at a time and have already lost 7 inches and about 40 lbs in 7 wks. I also have tracked my calorie intake to no more than 1800 calories a day. I try to keep it under 1600 but it just depends on the day. Good Luck!

Like you said... it'll slowly build back up over time. They say patience is a virtue, but it can be really hard to practice. And sometimes it can be hard to find the fine line between pushing ourselves, and trying to do too much.
The good news is that weight loss has more to do with what/ how much we eat, than it does with exercise. So while you're slowly but steadily working your endurance back up, you can be focusing on making healthy choices with your food. The Nutrition Tracker is fabulous! Yes, it can be tedious at times to weigh or measure all your food and put it all in the Tracker... but I never would've lost the weight or kept it off, without that Tracker.

Hey everybody! I've had a couple of surgeries and other health conundrums over the last year or so which have really set me back. I've always been overweight, but I had very good endurance and could keep up in workouts with the best of them. I spent the last few months recovering and I'm now getting back to healthy eating and working out, but I've found that I've lost all endurance. It's so frustrating. I know it'll slowly build back up over time, it just seems so much more difficult to climb back on the wagon than it used to. I felt like I was in agony doing 15 minutes on the elliptical and a 1 mile Leslie Sansone workout. Lame! Just griping and looking for some camaraderie I suppose. : ) I've got to drop 100+ pounds and it's more than a little intimidating.
