Not me, but my former's roommate's success story.
We have a facebook group where we all try to walk 70 miles in 1 month. My former roommate, who describes herself as "well into the obese category" started walking more and bought a pedometer, and lost 10 pounds in 7 weeks without consciously changing her diet. She doesn't take special walks, but started walking an extra 1-2.5 miles per day, such as walking for errands that she would otherwise take the subway for, or taking more walks for pleasure.
I find it inspirational that it's possible to make such a difference with small actions.
