Anarie, Thank you for explaining exactly whats in those pills. I knew they probably had lots of caffeine, but the other stuff makes sense too. To the original poster. Please stop taking them. We are all just concerned about your health and well being. When I was in my twenties (over twenty years ago) I had a bad habit of taking diet pills. Everything that has been posted here happened to me. It is just not safe. Good luck.

What you've actually been taking is a blend of aspirin, several different laxatives, and a HUGE dose of caffeine. Each day, you've gotten the equivalent of 4-6 cups of coffee in straight added caffeine, plus an additional amount from several of the herbal ingredients. It's impossible to know exactly how much you've taken in total, but assume that it's at least 5-7 cups of coffee. You are almost certainly going to get a caffeine withdrawal headache when you stop taking the pills, but you would also probably get some even more serious side effects if you kept taking them. Be prepared; drink some strong tea or coffee throughout the day after your last dose, and slowly decrease how much you drink. By the way, the reason the aspirin is hidden in there (they call it willow bark extract so you won't realize it's aspirin) is to try to keep you from getting a headache from all that caffeine and reporting it to your doctor. You're also almost certain to gain weight the very next day. That's because you haven't really lost any fat. You probably had to use the bathroom a bit more than normal while you were taking these, right? If not for the pills, you would use the bathroom a lot LESS than normal when you're eating so much less food. But these pills are full of diuretics and laxatives. You've been losing water instead of fat, and as soon as you drink a glass of water, you'll rehydrate and your weight will go up. The good news is that you probably didn't really hurt yourself in just 14 days. The weight you "lost" will mostly come back, but you probably won't gain any more. Go back to a normal, healthy diet and exercise, wean yourself off the caffeine, and you'll be okay.

I agree with the previous posters that you're likely to gain the weight right back as soon as you stop taking them. The way you're trying to lose weight really isn't good for your health. I'd skip the diet pills and just stick with a healthy diet and regular exercise. That's the best way to lose weight and keep it off long-term. Coach Jen

Please please stop taking the pills and start eating enough. You need at least 1200 calories to even get enough of the vitamins and nutrients your body needs to function. Don't be surprised if you gain back the weight when you stop. Then start eating a healthy diet.

You are doing your body more harm than good. You're under-eating AND taking harmful diet pills. Your metabolism is probably non-existant at this point, meaning as soon as you stop taking the pills, you will start to see the weight creep back on. When you don't give your body enough fuel (Calories) and nutrients, it goes into "starvation mode"; your metabolism slows down in order to hold onto as much food as possible, so once you start eating normal, you will hold onto those Calories longer and take longer to burn/digest them. I highly recommend stopping these pills and eating a healthy diet full of nutritious, balanced meals and snacks. That is the true way to lose weight for life, not just go on some fad diet or use diet pills. You may get instant gratification from starving yourself and taking pills, but it will not last a lifetime, I guarantee it.
