If you actually weigh 240# then losing 25# in six weeks isn't "too fast" as you have LOTS of fat to live off of so I would just BE HAPPY about it. The people that will tell you it is to fast are the ones who are JEALOUS that you have actually STAYED on course. When you weigh 240# you can easily have a lot of fluid, so dropped weight quickly can happen if you stop eating all the SALT that is in fast food and processed foods, since you say you are now cooking for yourself at home. That is one reason why people lose so much when they go on a "Raw" diet and eat lots of vegetables and fruit. I know a woman on YouTube who dropped 50# in 2 months when she did that, and found her feet and legs weren't all swollen any longer. She still has a long way to go to get to her goal. I have now lost 25 pounds! I started October 15th. When I look at other blogs and the Spark goal I am a little ahead of where I should be at this stage. I am excited but should I be concerned about the amount I lost so quickly? Did this happen for others? I went from not exercising to working my way up to 180 minutes a week by walking. I am cooking at home instead of eating out everynight. I also cut way back on alcohol and I don't eat anything I can't track.
