ONLINEASLLOU - YEA!!! Keep it up.

Today I did Bob's IOM cardio conditioning again. Feeling GREAT!

Be carefull at all the BBQ, backyard parties tomorrow. Fill your plates with fruits and veggies and leave the buns on the table. have the brat, or hamburger without the bun to save calories. You could use a piece of lettuce on each side instead, or I usually just dip in the ketchup.
If you are having a potluck, YOU can be the one to bring a giant lettuce salad. Or a veggie tray, or fruit bowl. Drink plenty of water to fill you up.

Have a WONDERFUL holiday weekend.

Dare I hope?

I was reasonably good yesterday -- did 50 minutes of exercise (both cardio and strength) and ate reasonably. My trip to the grocery store was OK, too. I resisted temptation to buy some sweet treats and made healthy choices.

This morning, the scale was down 1 pound. I know not to put too much emphasis on a single weight ... but it does give me hope.

I have had those days as well. I keep wanting to make a giant dinner with PASTA! I even got the stuff to make manicotti, lasgna, spaghetti, perogies = not good. Need to make sure not to load up all in one week.
don't dwell too much on what happened. today is a new day.

I've gotten off to a bad start this weekend. That has to stop. So, I guess I am here today to confess -- and I hope that knowing that I will come back here a couple of times this holiday weekend will help be do OK overall.

I went out to dinner with a friend last night -- and she was really in the mood for pasta. She wanted to go to her favorite Italian restaurant. I love speghetti and I love seafood. Their daily special was "crab and shrimp pasta." I'm sure you can all imagine what I had for dinner -- and lots of it.

I'll be going to the grocery store today -- and will need to be strong to make healthy choices both at the store and at home all weekend.

cassiecat - You are SO close I know you can do it. Trips are HARD, but grab veggies, lean meats, water. and get out and have fun. Don't stress about it.

Today I did Jillian's No more trouble zones with 5 and 10 lb weights. STill trying to decide what to set up my new workout schedule for this month. I switch at least something up monthly. Just to keep it new and fun.

I know everyone else wants to have a great 3 day weekend, but I just want it over fast so the kids can START SCHOOL!!!!!! I am so sick of the fighting and picking on each other. Hope the new school will also maybe have some new freinds that we can get together with.

stock your fridge with good foods. Don't buy the junk foods.

After many ups and downs last month I wound up down 1.5 pounds and am now half a pound away from my goal! Originally I had a goal two pounds lower, but my body doesn't seem to want o go there. So I really only have this pesky half a pound to lose and it's more of a mental battle to say, "There! I did it!" BUT my big concern is a 5-day camp out later this month, on the 19th. In the past I've always come back from these trips up several pounds, and it has taken a long time to get the weight back off. So my goal this month is to end the month at my goal weight and not let the trip derail my efforts to maintain.

HI everyone. After the guys cleaned the rugs last night I decided to start cleaning out all the junk in the livingroom. I bought a DVD/CD suitcase and filled it with movies. there was probably about 7 bags full of empty plastic. LOL Got rid of old movies and junk/magazines that were pilling up! I just finished. Got to go out and find a dehumidifier for the basement. rain is forecasted again! UG

Later to the gym for a workout. i don't meet my trainer until Wednesday.

I've been doing pretty good with my intake! Updated my weight/goal tracker and they decreased my calories (BOO!!!)! I'm off for three days..off days are usually bad for me..so I am going to plan all my meals for today, sat, and sunday and track them...goal is less than 1600 calories. I'm cont to do great w/exercise...love me some cardio!

Beckie, that's a shame for your SIL to have a free gym membership and NOT use it! I belong to a gym and think that every penny I pay is worth it! I've never loved exercising so much! I'm a member of gold's gym and they have les mills classes which are fun and a great way to blast calories!

Hope everyone is doing great! Here's hoping we all have a healthy and happy weekend!

My SIL works at a college and she can use the rec center for free and she DOESN'T. AND She NEEDS IT! I think she just wants the easy way and not even try to do anything.

ANYWAY. Today I did do bob's IOM cardio conditioning and used the 26 lb kettlebell for all the swings. For some reason I am not counting all the foods in my tracker the last couple days. I do most of them, but then if there was too much, for dinner I just don't feel like searching for all of the foods to add.

THe scale did drop .4 lbs today so that feels OK. Just want it back to that 154. number from 4 days ago and not this 156.2 I know stress never helps and in 3 days the kids will be back in school which SHOULD help. Then I found out hubby will be working at a second house at night for at least 3 days next week. AND he is working on Monday!!!! Well, we just have to take what we can get with this construction the way it is. You never know how long it will last.

Try and move as much as you can each and every day.

Starting Weight - 144.8 lbs
Goal Weight - 139.9lbs - just wanna get out of 140ville lol!

1st Sept - 144.8
2nd Sept - 144.8

No change in a day, lol what am i expecting :P

But yesterday my calorie intake was just under my recommended intake. I knew if I got up and ate more, I would've wanted to consume way more than required - plus it was 12am at night when I felt hungry - not good!

I'm not a big fan of exercise, so will just stick to the calorie counting for now and then maybe when i wanna tone up the lumps and bumps.

Considering i've lost at around 10lbs since my beginning beginning weight, I haven't felt clothes get any looser or anything. I hope it's made a difference :(

Stayed in calorie range yesterday!! Yeah!! Want to keep that up! Now to get the workouts in.

My daughter went to college this week and she said she went to the gym with a friend that could show her how to use the machines! I'm jealous!! They have a great gym and it's free for students. I could use it too for a very small fee but it's an hour away. I'm so glad she's going. She's one of those unhealthy skinny people.

Keep moving people!!!

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I'm home from work today and I'm going to be busy! Stanley Steemer coming later to clean the rugs so I"ve got to move some things. also, laundry and trying to get rid of the last of the flooded basement water.....it's suppose to rain again today so I have to use the dryer. Went to the gym last night for an hour and rode the bike. i'll do more cardio and strength today. Measured out my chicken and veg.

I really want to keep this up and at least lose a few pounds..
how's everyone else doing?

I just updated one of my old recipes. Swapped out the old light sour cream for Greek yogurt! It's great. I did it to chicken enchiladas a couple weeks ago and it was great. Tonight is Ranch chicken tacos.

Keep working on your water, and veggies, and fruits every day.

WELCOME EVERYONE!!!! So happy to start a new month.

Today: 156.6
Goal: 151.6 (really any LOSS right now is good)

Today I tried to do the new kettlebell workout I got yesterday. It's OK, new moves, a total of 6 different workout routines, you could also build your own. BAD Part NO MUSIC! complete silence when doing the moves. A few of the moves were HARD to do so I will have to work up to those. I will have to debate if I want to keep it, or try and exchange for Lauren brooks one instead. BUT this one would be easy to add to another workout and with so many different ones to choose from is nice too. Upper, lower, core / abs, cardio & endurance, all over body, cardio and strength. So I almost could do one a day or do 2 back to back 3 days a week. Now to think about my weekly plan. Hope I can sleep tonight and not think about it.

School starts next week for the kids YIPPEE!!!!

Don't go all out the first day, take it one day at a time, and take it slow. DOn't want to burn out half way through the month

Good luck Pam. I have a doctor's appointment on September 8th. She wanted me to lose 10 pounds, too but I haven't been able to. My blood test results are a lot better and my blood pressure is better. I've been working with a trainer and i'm making better food choices, so i hope not to have to take any meds (which is the reason she wanted me to lose). Anyway, I'll try to get into 180's at least by the end of the month.

I'm in. Just re-joined Sparkpeople after a long break. I'm always astounded when I start tracking my nutrition what I've been eating.

Anyhow, I'm ready to start trying to lose a little weight and get in better shape by moving more! I like how this challenge is all about taking it slow when trying to reach weight goals.

So, starting weight is 147.

I'd like to lose 3 pounds this month. If I can get down to 144 pounds this month, that'll be great.

I'll check in tomorrow, at the start of the official challenge. Looking forward to this!!
