Drove down to Nag's Head (on the Outer Banks of North Carolina) yesterday afternoon -- finally on vacation! It rained all day yesterday, but it is sunny this morning and I took a good walk on the beach. So that's a good start.

Now ... I just have to keep the eating under control this week to avoid gaining weight.

Today I did the Kickbox fastfix - all 3 workouts back to back. Great 60 min workout. The run at lunch is canceled because of rain today. SO will have to wait for another day.

I may do some baking today. I need to make my granola again, and maybe some zucchini bread, and if still time - cookies (I have a recipe that uses 2 cups of total cereal in them)

I'm ready for the weekend already. Today was tae bo and I'm glad it's done. I have kettlebell class after work which will be lower body emphasis. Then home to get stuff done. Hope it's a earlier evening then yesterday.

I am aiming to lose at least 5lbs by end of October through controlling my sugar/sweet intake, eating a salad before each meal and/or 5 servings of veggies/fruit everyday, and finally going back to the gym. I have a mini-challenge set up for this week. I hope to accomplish a larger goal, by "winning" at small personal challenges.

Head cold has set in. BUT I still did my workout - Bob's Ultimate cardio. It did help the cold. Now it's starting to get worse again. Hope I can make it through the day with 75 kindergarteners today. School field trip and I am driving. I'm excited cause I wanted to go to this one, and only found out last night that I was going to be able to drive.

Have fun on vacation. The beach sounds wonderful right now!

Today was cross fire tabata for my am workout. I'm hoping to work on my car when I get home it needs to be buffed out some. Then might try for a short walk depending on the weather and when I can get home. If not the tabata was a great workout and burned some major calories in a short amount of time. Yesterday we did timed work for kettlebells and it was great I'm going to incorporate this into one of my routines for next week to get everyone's heart rate up and endurance. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

I'm on vacation... I'm on vacation ... well, almost. I still have about 1/2 hour of work to do tonight that I brought home with me ... and I have to do laundry tonight ... and I have to pack tomorrow morning. Then in the afternoon, I will drive to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and be on vacation for the rest of the week.

The weather is not supposed to be great, but it should be good enough to do some walking on the beach. But I am pretty sure I will not eat well because we'll be going out to dinner almost every night. My goal for the week will be to simply maintain my current weight. If I weigh same next week as I today, I'll be OK with that.

I am going to do some 30 minute videos - yoga and weights - in addition to my normal running and biking.
Trim the BLT's (Bites Licks and Tastes) out of the diet...seems I am back to snacking here and there and everywhere...

I only lost 1/2 a lb last month. But I will continue to keep it up, or I know I will really gain!!!!

Today no workout. helped out at school. The BEE FIt run didn't happen cause they didn't have any parents that had signed up to mark sheets. I said I could, but then I couldn't run. PLUS the other classes were not prepared and had not talked to the kids about it yet. SO it will have to wait for another day.
Starting to get a head cold. Hopefully it won't get too bad this week. I am sure being at the school this much doesn't help.

I'm going to keep the focus on more walking, have been doing well last 3 weeks. Usually what has been successful has been "take the long way home" = a more beautiful riverside walk and abt 30 minutes of exercise as oposed to 7. I think I've also been more inclined to do that on the days I wasn't carrying my computer in my backpack...hmmm...something to think about there.

Today I did do Bob's Pure strength and burn. Should be able to get in some light walking this afternoon at Artprize.

This week looks like to get in extra bike rides in the morning. And my 8 yo is having his "Bee Fit" run / walk at lunch time this whole month. He wants me to join him cause he gets and extra lap for all of mine. They have to complete a total of 5 miles and then receive a "toe token" which is just a little plastic foot that he keeps on a key chain on his backpack. SO bonus moves for me. it's horrible to run around the kids playground, but I will do it. NOT if it's raining though.

Lets reach our goals before Christmas !!!!!!

great job on all that walking. I found I like to bike more than walk. Maybe cause I can go farther distance in the same time, and it's nice to have the wind cool you off a little too.

I will join you for October. I am going to do the Trick or Treat Trot Virtual 5K at the end of the month. I have been on and off the couch to 5k program so I am going to start that again on Monday. I walked this morning for 2.47 miles. I know that seems like a lot but I have been walking on and off for the last month. Haven't walked in over a week.
