I realize I exercised for 205 minutes this week. That's a lot for me. And my weight has gone down slightly this week. So I am hoping it is the start of successful month for me.

I stayed the same today but still am hopeful tomorrow will show the numbers down. I know I should have ate more veggies yesterday. Today is a new day and opportunity to make it happen.

Had an OK day. Did a Zumba DVD and will stay within my calorie range -- though I am going to be a bit short on protein. (I'm trying to think of some high protein things to finish my day that I have in the house.)

For some unknown reason, the scale was kind this morning, saying I lost a few ounces. Maybe it was the green tea. Whatever it was ... I hope it continues. My current weight makes a loss of 50 pounds -- but I won't change my icon until I lose another pound and show that I can KEEP it off. That's my real goal for the end of the month -- to be consistently BELOW 153 so that I can change my icon to the "50 pounds lost" one.

I have had a weird increase in weight. The docs fear that I have another internal bleed going on and because of a recent pacemaker install, I am limited in movement which make the dreaded colonoscopy, but I will find some way to get to the "bottom" of this.

Still at the lowest I've weighted in at recently, hope to see a loss either tomorrow or Saturday. I did eat out last night due to schedule issue but choose something healthy.

Thanks for the support, challenge-mates. I really appreciate it. I felt a little better today, with a little more energy than I have had lately. That may have been from the fact that I was sipping green tea (caffeine) all day. I don't usually have any caffeine in my diet and it makes me jittery. Today it just made me a less exhausted and haggard. I guess I'll be drinking caffinated beverages for a while.

Llou, I'm having similar issues with my thyroid (Graves disease). I've been working my butt off since January 1 and I keep flutuating up and down with my weight. (I've yet to reach one of my monthly goals!) I'm pretty much the same weight now as I was then, despite the increased activity (aiming for 1800 fitness minutes in May and burning more than 3000 calories a week) and healthy eating (staying within my nutritional ranges). I feel like I am in a constant battle with my body. It just will *not* let go of the weight! But I keep chugging along. I can definitely tell I've gained muscle, I'm loving my biceps and I can *almost* tell I have triceps, so I'm still motivated to keep going. But dang is this tough! Congrats on your improvements, both in your health and previous weight loss. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to feel better and continue to improve despite your troublesome thyroid!

I want to join in too. My goal is to lose 4 lbs. this month. I need to do better about exercising this month, so I think I am going to set a goal for myself of getting 750 fitness minutes this month as well.

Hang in there LLOU! It's difficult when your mind and body are not on the same page. Hoping for good results from your lab work.

I'm in for May. April was not a good month for me. I'm hoping May will be better. No birthdays in May! emoticon So, my only possible set backs will be Memorial Day weekend and Mother's Day. I will try my best to not allow them to be a set back though. I'm usually in charge of dessert so I can do lighter options.

Was up a pound this am but that's okay know with the workout the past couple of days my muscles will retain some water. I have a virtual on Saturday so hoping for some nice new numbers and times to post. I'm ready. Have a great Wednesday.

I'm in again for May. I have to admit, though, I am not terribly optimistic. I believe my thyroid function has dropped again and I am doubtful that my doctor is going to increase my dose. I had an appointment with her yesterday and she wanted to check my labs first. Since my symtoms usually get pretty bad before my labs get bad enough for her to increase my dose, I could have to wait a couple of months -- and that prospect has me feeling pretty discouraged about the next few months.

On the positive side, assuming that my diabetic labwork results come back good, she is officially changing my diagnosis from "diabetes" to "insulin resistence." That's a accomplishment to be proud of. I'm right at the 50 pound weight loss mark and she feels I am a "success" and should be thinking in terms of "maintenance" although it would be good if I could gradually lose another 20 pounds over the next year or two. That's my thought, too, but it's such a change of perspective that it is hard to adjust to -- and with the thyroid problem still not stable ... I don't feel ready to "relax" about it all.

Oh well ... One day ... and One Month at a time. I am going to set a very modest goal this month and hope that my thyroid will let me achieve it.

weight this week has been fluctuating from 151 to 154 so my goal this month is to see both those numbers decrease by at least 5 lbs.. I would so much like to lose 10 lbs. total. I think to just lose these extra 10 would make me feel so much more comfortable. Good luck everyone. I will check in on you all next week when we are all about a lb. lighter emoticon !
