Boy, I gotta say, it's very refreshing to see "Lose 2-5 pounds" , it's amazing how many threads have insanely large weight loss goals for the month!! Like "Lose 37 pounds this month!" LOL, ok, it's not THAT bad, but still....

My start weight is 155.5 Dec 4, my goal weight is 152.

When I get to maintenance mode I will do the same thing. You are doing great at maintaining by the way!

Good to see you too Beckie!! And all the new faces too!! This challenge has really helped me stay on track. I've had a few slip ups but they don't get as bad as before I found you all. I have been on a pretty steady losing streak, even though it's slow, but it's not the lose a few gain a few over and over. Thank you all!!!

Now get up and MOVE!!!

At my goal weight but will eat a lot during family Christmas week. This year planning to lose it ahead so for once I won't have the same NY resolution of losing weight.

Happy to see quite a few familar names and new ones too.

Today I am taking a rest day from exercise. Hope it doesn't back fire later. But my lower back is pretty sore. I get this a lot, but it's been a while. It's possible that TOM is also adding to it as well.

No I can not believe it is DEC and christmas is going to be here before I know it. Kids only have 2 more weeks of school before break. OH NO then what will I do?!?!?!

I'm baaack! Just jk'ng! I used to do this challenge and stopped in September (because I was close to my goal and..well...stupid, lol). So after 2 months of being pretty horrible w/my intake (still a beast in the gym, yay) I'm scared to get on the scales, lol. So I'm joining the challenge, but I'm not weighing in until next Thursday. By then I will have been on a strict diet/exercise regimen for 2 weeks and (hoping) the scale will be a lil nice @ that time. I gotta say tho that starting over sucks..I know this as I've done it plenty of times. However, as long as I've been at this I'm STILL trying to find what works for me...maybe I never will emoticon

Here's to hoping that one day I will reach my goal! Cheers everyone!

I had a decent start to December. I went over just a little on calories, but got in all my water and 5 servings of fruits/veggies. Didn't get any exercise, but it was a planned rest day.

Got up early this am for boot camp class. Instructor almost had me cursing with the burpees and mountain climbers emoticon

It's so great to see so many people join us in this challenge.
11/30 W = 154.6
12/1 W = 153.4
First goal....... get back to that 151 number I saw the first part of Nov., then keep working to get it lower.

Today I did do about 15 min of Iron Core Kettlebells Warrior 1. I haven't done that one in a while and it was a challenge. next time I will have to push harder and do more of it.

CUDA440, I think you should use what your weight was today (congratulations on the weight loss!).

I only lost 3lbs last month and definitely want to better this month so I'm definitely in!

12/01 SW - 209.6
12/31 GW - 204.6 (however 199.6 would be even better!)

I normally weigh on Thursday and will try to remember to come back every Thursday and weigh in.

Weightliftgirl - So for your Dr. appointment you need to lose 3 lbs. I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! I did pretty good ON thanksgiving day, but Sunday when I seemed to have an open kitchen and kept making food all afternoon for people that were coming and going from Noon till 6!!! I didn't track, so I really don't know. I did drink water (that's all I drink), had SMALL cups of chicken / turkey black bean soup, with crackers added, raw veggies with dip, ham, cheese, hard boiled egg stuffed french loaves (take out the inside of the bread and stuff with the mix) at least cut out a lot of the carbs with that.

Ok, so here is the deal yesterday the scale was 154.6 and that was what I was going to use as my start weight this month. BUT now today it's down to 153.4 SO what number do you girls think I should use???? If I use the one from yesterday it would sure make me feel good that I am losing again but then again it will look better too.

My cold is MUCH better today. My 5yo is getting worse again. He still wants to go to school. Sorry, not today!
I did do Bob Harpers Inside out Method Body Rev Cardio conditioning. Sweat, Sweat and More sweat!!!! I am starting to think the ice pack on the back of the neck at night maybe helping in the weight loss. Maybe it's in my head, but I haven't been doing it lately and I gained, last night I pulled it out again and today I am down?!?!?!

Ready to take on this new month. I need to have a plan for Christmas time. My hubby goes CRAZY baking treats. And most of christmas is spent all day eating it. I should be able to exercise each day which will help. If I don't host it, at least MAYBE it will help that I am not in the kitchen so much standing next to it as much.

Hi guys!!

I keep dancing right around my goal weight (135). I'm within a healthy weight range though, so I'm trying not to let the numbers get me down. Anything under 140 is acceptable. Going to post here this month to help keep motivated through cookie and candy season!

Will be weighing in on Wednesdays for another challenge, so we will see how it goes!

I'm in .... my overall goal is 5 pounds a month until the spring. It's nice to be doing this with someone. I recommitted on Oct 1st and am down a little over 7 pounds. I know we can do this! emoticon

Hi Everyone! Another month....where does the time go?
How did everyone make out for Thanksgiving? I ate like a pig, but I haven't done that in a long time. Weight was temporarily up 1.6, but came off.

I didn't meet last month's goal of losing 2 (which was my goal). I only kept off 1 pound -- but I'll take it. I had a bad cold for a while and then my back went out so I had to baby that for a while.

Anyway, good luck all. On the 22 nd is my doctor appointment. So far my blood pressure is a bit better (try not to get too wigged out at workload), I lost a total of 7 pounds (10 is goal - at least) and I'm TRYING to cut out the bad stuff. emoticon emoticon

That's the same advise I have....take it day by day. Start in small chunks and work your way up. Otherwise you'll get burnt out and discouraged. Good luck.

Welcome EVERYONE!!!

Shelly - All I can say is take it one step at a time, don't go full force all at once. Make small changes and little by little make another small change. Track your foods and see where you can make Better choices. Exercise is great, if you are just starting out with that, start easy and work your way up to more intensity later on.

Well, I am starting out at 154.6 today. BUMMER.
Goal weight Dec 31 = at least back to NOV 1 weight of 151.6 OR Anything LESS!!!! I still want to see the 140's.

Today I did do Jillan's No more Trouble zones with 5 and 10 lb weights.
I do have a cold coming on.

I have never done a challenge here before but I am excited to start! I am a college student and I found out that I was pre-diabetic at 16. I have been struggling to lose and keep weight ff. I am 5lbs away from being at a healthy weight so this challenge is one that could change my overall health!

Definitely in on this one!! Will try to post dec 1st if not Ill do it as soon as I weight myself after that! I was in a challenge to loose ten in November and it didnt happen so made a smaller goal will work better for me :) and being able to start it right at the beginning!

Get ready before the new year but joining us in trying to lose 2-5 lbs this month.
On Dec 1 come and Post your start weight, and your goal weight you want to reach on Dec 31. Post as often as you would like during the month to let us know how you are doing. We are here to help you reach your goals. We love to try and motivate each other each month.
