moontide can you maybe get a britta filter? If your tap water is safe to drink try slowly getting used to it. All I drink is tap water now. Free and simple.

Bardto1, make some small changes this week. Are you drinking enough water? Eating your fruits and veggies? Sometimes I go back to the fastbreak part of spark people to reenergize mysellf. Just one small goal a week.

SnowJester losing 3 pounds is awesome! Sorry you haven't been able to feel excited, I myself would ecstatic if I was able to do it this time around.


These past few days I have been eating way too many calories, with the one word: cookies.
I eat one or smell one and that just can't hold me over. I know it's probably because I'm not drinking enough water but then the story of how I don't like my home tab water goes through my head.

Yesterday I weighed in after eating breakfast (forgot to way myself before) and I still lost about 2 pounds in the past week!

Even though I feel like I have been splurging with my calories at night- there has just been those times where i have felt hungry and would eat more then 3000 calories for my whole eating plan. Tomorrow I'll work on getting back on track on tracking what I'm eating, since I've realized in the past two days that sometimes I don't like writing in all what I ate to see how big the numbers get.

But I know the exercise is working since now i have lost a total of 5 pounds since October. Just need to lose two more to reach my Christmas goal of 245. pounds.

Stayed in range again yesterday. I have a streak going. I was in the middle of my range. I could have been at the low end but I got upset with someone and ate to comfort myself. Ridiculous. But thankfully I had done really well so the extra calories didn't put me over.

Today I got on the scale even though my weigh in day is supposed to be the 17. I was hoping for some movement and to my surprise I've dropped 2 lbs. Thank goodness my plan is working.

Well did good yesterday with eating i am hoping to get some exercise in today I did journal one day I have two weigh in left before new years one day after Christmas and I want to show a net loss for December. so I need to buckle down and get exercising and stick to my eating plan I wont let me get where i was my new goal is 175 so I need to work at it it is in sight but cant touch it yet

Peridotprincess you're sooo close to your goal. I'm insanely jealous. Don't worry if this is your 2nd week with no loss. You've gotten this far, you'll get there. The weight loss is probably slowing down since you're almost at the end. Seriously girl you've lost over 50 lbs. That's what I'm trying to do. You're my inspiration so no boo'ing yourself!

Everyone who had a bad day yesterday, today is a new day. You can do it!

Stayed in calorie range yesterday and finally towards the lower end. But that's because I took cold medicine and fell asleep early so not late night calories. I started a strength training routine and I'm incredibly sore this morning. So I'll just do some light walking on treadmill today for exercise.

It was the slim jim's fault that I wasn't able to stay in my calorie range- even though everything else was in the same range though. But I also realized how many carbs are in a bagel, I will defiantly try to eat only one a day.
But otherwise I think I'm doing pretty good, and I took today as a rest day since I have been moving since Thursday (lots of shoveling over the weekend) and I need some more time to get rest and study before my test tomorrow night.

Stayed in calorie range yesterday, but again just barely. I'm looking at where I can cut back calories, things like using vinegar and lemon juice instead of salad dressing will save me 80 cals. So hopefully today I'll stay towards the low end of my range.

This is exactly what my goal is pretty much, since I want to be out of the 240s by the time I turn 19 in February (the best birthday gift I could give myself).

I myself have started weighing myself on Fridays since any other day seems to be a little difficult with my busy morning schedules. I do hope though that this thread keeps me going through the next month since I will also be trying to do a boot camp during my winter break between semesters.

Good job Anna! I need to get my butt to the gym.

I stayed in my calorie range yesterday. Just barely. I had 5 calories to spare. If I wasn't tracking every single thing I would have kept on eating. But I made it. It was day 3 of staying in my range and day 3 is usually when I screw up, so I'm feeling good. Going to take a walk now, Have a good day everyone! emoticon

WOOOHOOOOO! WELCOME EVERYONE! Lets have a lovely holiday season but keep our little goal in mind!

Just FYI - my weigh in day is every THURSDAY! My reason for this is,,,.....mid week so i have no excuse of "of it was after a relaxing weekend" or too typically after 3 days (mon to weds) of "being good. Does that make any sense?

ALSO, if anyone wants some free advice, im a qualified clinical nutritionist! (Non practicing as i am a full time stay at home mum)

Good luck everyone! And record every christmas treats! Dont cheat! We succeed best when we dont lie to ourselves!

I'm in! Will post my starting weight tomorrow morning when I weigh in along with my goal weight. First, I plateaued because I hadn't been working out since Oct 30 due to injuries. Last week, I gained because I've been binging on Christmas cookies Today was my first day back on track. I finally am ready to start walking again and feel like the weight will start coming off again. Today I did some strength training. Tomorrow, I'll begin walking an hour in the mornings, go back to my regular strength training routine, add a Christmas challenge, and get back to my yoga. I feel good and excited. I'm glad I found you!

I can not seem to get it together lately. so much stress between buying a house and the holidays. BUT I AM READY, because sitting in front of the fire and eating isnt making me any less stressed out.

I generally don't lose one lb a week when I am losing but I'll be happy if I can get 8 lbs and will give it a shot! I'm going in the wrong direction so I've got to get back on track. Try to get 10,000 steps daily and 10 minutes of strength workouts a day. I have to get it back up to 2 30 minute strength exercises a week.

Happy holidays! I'm in. Definitely plan on having dropped at least 10 lbs by the end of Jan. I'm staying in my calorie range, exercising 5 x a week, and drinking at least 12 cups of water. That's my plan. It's only day 2 since I started but after getting through the first day and realizing I could do it, I feel confident. Good luck!

RIGHT! So Cristmas is looming, and while some of us are being steadsfast with our diets, some of us would like to enjoy the season a little bit more. I DO! But while i do that im trying to remind myself not to go too nuts! SO! Who would like to join me in this short goal term!?

In January we all start with good intentions. Lets take it a month at a time.... end of Jan 2013 is the checkpoint for now! Anyone?!
