I can try that though I don't always run on the treadmill and I have a hard time keeping a beat (no musically inclined at all!)

honestly, when I was practicing cadence, I'd just listen to music and match my steps to the clock on the treadmill, same thing, 3 steps per second.

But I am a professional musician, so doing stuff like that is really easy for me...

I couldn't find Ismoothrun for Android, but I downloaded mobile metronome. I use the music on my phone so I guess I won't be able to play that while I'm doing the metronome. Any good songs that keep a 180 beats per minute pace?

Is Ismoothrun available for android? I am a iphone user, I have tried a few running apps. That one sounds like what you are interested in, it uses a mix of accelometer and gps depending on signal and tracks distance, speed, cadence, elevation and some other things. It also links with my bluetooth heart rate monitor strap. It can log to runkeeper (which is a good free running/fitness tracking app but I don't think it offers what you are wanting). Ismoothrun has a metronome to cue you for a certain cadence too.

Mobile Metronome. Set it to MM=60 and run 3 steps per second.

I am looking for an Adroid app that will count my strides per minute or will pace me to reach the recommended 180 strides per minute. Any suggestions?
