I just had a baby and have been doing a lot of thinking. I have decided I want my daughter to grow up without having to worry about diet. I want her to learn how to make healthy choices because they make her feel good and not because she has to and to live an active lifestyle. The only way she is going to learn that is if I teach her that through my own healthy choices and active lifestyle. I grew up with a mom who was extreme about diet and exercise. She would always tell me that I don't want to be fat and never allow me to eat any sweets unless I exercised for them. Although I cant blame my mom for where I am at now, it definitely shaped how I feel about food. I have 107 pounds that I want to lose. I am making a promise to myself to track everyday, even if I totally mess up. I am trying to involve myself in the sparks community to give and receive support and read other members stories for inspiration. I know I can do this. My mantra through this is that to lead by example for my baby girl. I want this to be for both me and her. I want a happy healthy life together.
