Hi Penelope, how are you today? I did not have a good day; I had a craving for a Culvers Oreo concrete mixer, so I had a large one. Not good. But that's ok, I will shake the dust off, and do better next time. I have the mentality of "perfection"; either I do it perfectly, or if I don't, I'll "mess up" all the way. Not good! But I'm not giving up. I'll keep on trying, baby steps, one hour at a time. I hope you have a great evening!

Hi Becky! I'm happy to have as many buddies as I can! I also am not following any particular diet, just trying to remember to track my foods and exercise here on SP. I am also an emotional eater & spender. However, lately, I find myself with very little money to spend so it's mostly eating. :P I think tracking our meals/snacks and checking in here helps keep us accountable. We can do this!! :)

Hi Penelope,

If you wouldn't mind having two weight loss buddies, I would love to be your 2nd one. I am 46, single, need to lose about 87 pounds. I'm tired of having no energy, always feeling tired, and being out of breath/heart racing when I climb stairs.

I'm not following a particular diet. I drink a lot of water, but am having difficulty getting motivated to exercise and watch my portions. I'm an emotional eater and spender. As a result, I am somewhat broke, lol, but I'm glad I found this wonderful, free site.

Hi! I also have a 15 year old son. My oldest (daughter) will be 17 this May, and my youngest (son) will turn 11. I also have 2 more girls in the middle. :) I'd love to have you as a buddy. are you trying any particular diet, or just eating more healthy? What do you do for exercise?

Hi everyone! I am not exactly a new member, but I'm starting anew this week. So I hope it's ok to post in this forum. I am looking for someone who'd be interested in being my weight loss "buddy"- someone who checks in daily, someone to share goals, successes, ups & downs, etc. I don't have anyone at home to do this with & I think it would be very helpful and motivating. I also recently bought the Beck Diet Solution book (don't know if anyone's familiar with that). It suggests a weight loss coach, and since I can't afford that, this is the closest I can get. :)

I am 36, married, SAHM of 5. I need to lose about 50 pounds. I try to get out and walk about 2 miles at least 4 times a week. I'm not on any particular diet, just trying to eat healthy & track my calories & such here on SP. If anyone has similar goals and wants to share their journey, please let me know!
