Definitely a keeper of an idea. You should post that in the SparkPeople section of sharing secrets of success!!!
It's similar to when I made a list of things to do when I wanted a cigarette (when I quit smoking 11+ years ago). If you have some kind of alternate plan to go with, you can accomplish your goal - whether it be smoking or eating healthy!!!
I made a list of my favorite healthy foods. Foods that are healthy and that I truly enjoy eating. Things like strawberrry-banana smoothies, chicken soup, teriyake stir fry, etc etc etc. It's a much longer list than I expected. I can refer to it on those days when I just don't know what I want to eat and most likely will grab something unhealthy just because I don't know what I want.
